Tonight's new business is a public hearing on the issuance of revenue obligations by Northshore Gymnastics Association. And I will turn that over to staff. >> Thank you, Madame Mayor, members of the council. Uh this hearing uh is uh for the issuance of revenue obligation bonds by Northshore Gymnastics. Um, Northshore Gymnastics Association in conjunction with the City of Independence as issuer is planning to use taxexempt financing to fund its new 48,000 square ft facility located here in Maple Plane. The maximum amount of the bond to finance the project is 8.5 million and the economic feasibility of the project is greatly enhanced by Northshore's ability to utilize taxexempt financing. IRS code related taxexempt financing requires that any jurisdiction in which the project is located must approve the issuance of the bonds. Maple Plane has no financial obligation or liability of any kind related to this bond. Public hearing is to allow residents of Maple Plane to express their views with respect to the project. comments made during the public hearing um or before received in writing, which we had none. Um that would address to the council um any concerns that people have with this bond. So, I turn it back over to you to open the public hearing. >> All right. Thank you, Administrator Schillinger.
