Whereas, Minnesota people of color LGBTQ+ Pride, MN POC Pride, founded in 1999 has served the Twin Cities community for more than 25 years by creating affirming spaces that celebrate, empower, and uplift the LGBTQ+ people of color through advocacy, education, health initiatives, cultural programming, and community engagement.

I had uh concerns about the folks uh who were on the Ballpark Commission and him being removed as the only person of color. So, I do appreciate you finding um this doctor to serve. I wish there would have been a process.
Um there is a lot of emphasis being placed here on the medical background, which we did learn does not have absolutely anything to do again with the Ballpark Authority. And I would like to move to delay this because if we are able to pursue individuals from our independent communities, I think that it would be fair if all council members are able to review and go through the application process of seeking individuals in our communities and wards who would that would make this fair for everyone.
All 211 residents of Heritage Park deserve a very human-centered support in relocation assistance. And that we have I understand that SRF currently does not um have a standing contract, but neither do any of the organizations that have shown up and been present in supporting the residents of Heritage Park, and that is notable.
CPED is open to that. We have made uh contacts with Northpoint Health and Wellness Center. Um and the CEO, Kimberly Spates, and I are planned to have a conversation about uh potentially there a role for them. We have a contract with them as well. ... There's a good match uh for us to be exploring that.
Every time I drive by here at Dick Clark and I see those boarded up buildings, I wonder how the heck did it get this bad? Like what happened? This is years and years and years of neglect. And you're suffering for that. You should not have to live in those conditions.
