[0:04] Minneapolis’ Traffic Safety Camera [0:06] Pilot enhances neighborhood [0:08] safety and moves [0:09] the city closer to our Vision [0:11] Zero goal [0:12] of zero traffic deaths [0:13] and serious injuries. [0:15] Cameras are currently located at five, [0:18] high-risk intersections [0:20] throughout the city. [0:21] When a violation is detected, [0:23] the camera takes a picture [0:24] of the rear license plate, [0:26] not the driver, [0:27] along with a short video. [0:29] Minneapolis Traffic Control Agents [0:31] then carefully review the footage [0:33] and verify the violation [0:35] before taking any enforcement action. [0:37] For all first-time violations, [0:39] the City will issue warnings. [0:41] If you receive a citation, [0:43] it will come from the City's vendor [0:45] with the Minneapolis [0:46] Traffic Control logo on it. [0:48] We are committed to [0:49] community-focused education [0:51] and engagement [0:52] as we introduce this new program.
