We serve as kind of a nice bridge between what's actually happening out on the streets and what's happening in city hall. >> Engage. Um the commissioners are representatives of the community. So they serve as a really critical tool for the city and the enterprise to understand what the priorities are from within. >> Oh absolutely. You have such an opportunity to be part of the city of Minneapolis. You're part of that. My favorite part about being on the commission is the networking is in in talking with community, seeing where they're coming from, seeing their story, hearing their stories. Um because that's very very important. If you if you don't come in necessarily feeling like you have the expertise, you do have that experience and that as the core of what you bring to advisor committee is invaluable. >> I feel pretty proud of myself actually. It's nice to be able to say, "Okay, I was able to actually have that conversation with someone in the city and they took the feedback seriously.
