If in the event of an investigation, an employer found to be in violation the department may require a training of the employer or its employees regarding rights and responsibilities under the ordinance.
This major step to codify employer paid training opens the door to other opportunities for this kind of overreach into private business.
For me it's important that one hour of paid training is included, not just when a violation happens but that we as workers can be informed of our rights.
