This specific use has been deemed to be similar in the past, but we can't do it because it's slightly different. Um, this one has a little bit more repair to it than the other one.
These particular boats are all equipped with what they call a silent stinger. So they're made to be way more quiet than what you might hear on an outboard... when they are running for testing or whatever, they're usually quick, like just a minute or two sessions...
And what I found is at the end of our lot, if if the boat is at around 80, at the end of the lot, it would be like 60 dB. And to give a reference to that, 60 dB would be our conversation right here.
I might add that um they did present their concept presentation to the council and we were all in total support of it adding a great entrance into mound and it fits nicely with the uh marina right across the street.
This ordinance was prepared by the city attorney and it's in response to legislative changes that were made during the 2026 session uh for the cannabis regulations and these rules go into effect starting Jan 1 2027.
This just brings us consistent with changes that were recently made by the legislature.
