I think for anybody checking on the cost of where we're heading with the infrastructure um versus the actual um water treatment plant. I think we should change again. It says for the water treatment improvements, it it really should just say infrastructure improvements, water infrastructure improvements.

I just wanted to talk about DE, FNG in general, and I just honestly felt like it needed clarification that it's a lot of money, but that it all fell into um items that we went out for bid for in the past fit in the capital improvement plan and fit in the budget. you know, it's not like an additional expense or anything, but they're big. So, it was all it was all planned and budgeted for.

Do we know which streets have been completed or what they're billing us for? I see a lot of streets that are not completed. So, I'm just curious if where we are.

We can definitely get you an accounting of how far along that project is. Um, that is a pretty decent chunk of that project. Um, so based on what I understand from the last progress meeting, we're a little over 60% complete, I believe.

So our ask of you all is a couple things. One is just approving the project obviously because it's um it's common space. The second is waving the permit fee. The third is there stumps in that space...So, we're asking the city to do that and then just dispose of any plant materials.

Can we check and make sure that Davies wasn't supposed to remove the stumps as part of their contract?

So, um, the comment that I want to make is just that, um, we request that the homeowners sign an agreement that they will maintain the rain garden. And so it will be operational for 10 years.

I think at most maybe it was $1,500.

So the the budget or the the agenda item will be requesting to go out to bid for a water treatment. Not committing to anything just literally like our like the streets projects like just going out for bid approval to go out for bid.

October 13th...Is when we will have actual contractor bids. That is sort of the like this this is how when we know exactly how much it will cost, what is the industry telling us? What is the state of the local contractors? How do they feel about risk? How well did we do in designing the project? That is when we will have all of those questions answered collectively.

This is our decision to make. That's why I want to make sure residents understand that at one point we talked about having a public hearing for this to let residents voice their opinions and now we've decided that this will be ours to make. So we want the residents to be very clear on costs and and I I I want the residents to be notified more than once that this is happening on October 13th.

I think that newsletter went out, the water newsletter was really informative. I mean, I think it was missing some key points, and I'm going to bring it up again. I keep asking us to reference this, but residents are not going to see any improvement in their water for up to two years following construction and residents need to hear this because we need to manage their expectations.

Because we are going to be at some point dealing with a water chemistry equilibrium when we start putting our non-manganese, noniron laden water into the system. We're going to move a bunch more stuff around...and then things are going to start to it will ramp down from there. It will be better. There will be clean water, you know, and once we get past that hump, but it's going to be, you know, we're standing here in 2026 talking about the fact that we'll be getting calls about water quality in 29, but that's very real.
