The reason this conversation can't wait is techn technology decisions that are made today impact um young learners for potentially a lifetime in terms of habits, learning and well-being. And once systems are built and um implemented around technology, seems they're calcified and it change becomes harder and harder to make.

To demonstrate what students are encountering, I am handing you copies of two websites that were accessible on student devices during the last school year. The first was passed around my daughter's fifth grade classroom and contains sexually explicit emojis, racist phrases, and inappropriate references.

I believe we have a trust problem. And when I what's landing with me on the trust problem is in order for there to be trust, there has to be consistency and predictability of how a decision will be made.

One of the trends that we're noticing with our retention data is that we are losing people within the first year. So, we really want to hone in on that and be intentional in this next year of trying to look at what we're doing to help support our new people coming in the door to make sure that we're setting them up to be successful.

what's new about this tool and different and unique from other uh products that are out there is that these data tools can then be used internally with grade level teams. So they can create a collaborative space kind of like a Google drive but with their own data walls so they can continue to study different data points.

This is the same contract that we issued to all of our other executive directors and our assistant superintendent. It was um just needed a little time to review. So, it was not brought last um June in regards to all the with um all the other contracts.
