Our goal is really to give students access to courses that they can deploy their technical skills also academic content and really see the relevancy of that.

Woodworking for example gave me insight into how you actually use these tools... I as an engineer could design a product and have a better understanding of how this might actually be produced.

I think it's important that I got that early on and now I feel like I'll be ready for what's ahead in my future.

This year we have 117 community based mentors and roughly... about 20 of those mentors are former students that have now come back to kind of pay it forward.
