Uh, welcome to the April 15, 2025 city council meeting. I hereby call the meeting to order. Uh, judging by the men and women in blue and our canine staff, you are officially in the safest place in Wisetta tonight. So, welcome. Uh members of the public may attend the city council meeting in person or may watch and listen remotely by viewing the meeting on channel 8 WCTV and at the city's website at www.wisetta.orgwv. Public comment during the public forum and or public hearing portion of the meeting may be provided in person at the meeting in advance or by logging into the team's call and raising your hand during the public hearing. When your name is called in the meeting, you will be seen and heard in our council chambers and the cable channel. You'll be asked to unmute and then you may begin your comments. All public comments must include your full name and address. Next, I am going to uh call the pledge of allegiance and uh if you would ask everyone to stand if you are able to follow along. Pledge allegiance to the flag of the United States of America and to the republic for which it stands, one nation under God, indivisible, with liberty and justice for all. Uh, next on our agenda is roll call. I will note that the entire council is present. Uh, also for the public, earlier today, the council participated in a workshop and discussed the following. Consideration of a code amendment request from Cove for a change to their outdoor patio as it relates to city rightaway and a discussion of the 2026 budget process and council budget priorities. The next item on the agenda is to approve the agenda. I need a motion to approve the agenda as is or with any changes uh requested. I'll make that motion, Mr. Mayor. Okay. Second. Second. Any further [Music] discussion? All in favor say I. I. That passes. Uh, next uh on our agenda is the public forum. Um, and just as a reminder for those uh in the public uh attending tonight and you're interested in speaking, uh you need to state your name, address, and indicate if you're representing a group and try to limit your comments to three minutes. If your if your um item is on the agenda, you need to fill out one of these blue cards and hand it to staff. If you want to speak at the public uh forum, you need to fill out a white card. Um for those of you who are watching online via Teams, please send a note via chat to our staff and let them know what agenda item you wish to speak about. And we also require that your camera be on. The first item on the public forum is recognition of retiring of Jason Garman sergeant and search and rescue dog Loki. Uh Jason is a sergeant with the city of Wisetta. Um Loki is uh Sergeant Garman's K9 partner. I believe he's a four and a halfyear-old uh Belgian Malwa. Um Loki is specially trained in search and rescue, specifically tracking and trailing individuals based on scent.
