ADJOURN ## Library Supervisor ## Brenda McHugh Circulations Report - over 4 months 32,193 checkouts 508 new library card registrations (including school cards for 5 graders) th 1,906 eBooks and 4,410 eAudiobooks borrowed (Libby) 3,318 Hoopla checkouts (more e-content) 2,792 items were requested through Aspen (patron online card catalog) 608 MNLink items were borrowed/shared with MNLink libraries. Services Report - over 4 months 2,445 patron computer sessions accessed 14,518 wifi sessions accessed 599 sessions of Mango Language learning accessed throughout TdS The library was closed Jan. 1-2, Jan. 19 and February 16 for holidays. We celebrated National Library Week April 20-25 with a barrage of social media posts, and library information at the library. The Friends of the Library provided lunch for the staff. ## Winter/Spring 2026 Report: Jan - Apr ## A PART OF ## A PART OF ## A PART OF Children ages 0-12 ## Storytimes and Classroom Visits Our regular public storytime on Wednesday mornings remains popular, with an average of 17 children attending. Throughout the week, we also have classrooms visit us from Headstart, Little Lambs Preschool, Kids Corner Daycare, St. Peter Community Childcare Center and St. Peter Lutheran School. 93 storytimes and classroom visits with 1,270 children in attendance Friends of the Library-sponsored events are noted with highlighted text. ## Children’s Programs ## We hosted programs like Mercy Watson and Friends Storytime, Tori’s Precious Pets, An Evening with Kate DiCamillo (a huge event with 375 people), Glow Bingo, Lego Day, and Mini Golf in the library hosted by the Teen Advisory Board! 8 programs with 566 children in attendance ## YOU ARE ## YOU ARE ## YOU ARE ## OUR STORY ## OUR STORY ## OUR STORY ## Programming and Events ## Virtual Programs Our virtual programs are in partnership with the Library Speakers Consortium and Traverse des Sioux Library System. We do not get consistent live viewings of our virtual offerings, but archived events, which remain on-demand on our website, have seen significant success. 7 virtual author events with 42 attendees viewing live or recordings Teens ages 13-18 ## Book Clubs, and Regular Meet-ups The teens in the library have many opportunities to join clubs and meet-ups that align with their interests. Dungeons and Dragons Club meets twice per week and is the most regular and has the most consistent attendance. Groups like the Teen Advisory Board meets occasionally to plan events, and other groups like K-Drama Club, and the Heartstopper book club are also meeting with varied attendance. 33 meet-ups with 108 teens in attendance ## Self-Directed Activities Self-Directed Activities are take-home activities, scavenger hunts, or passive activities left on display in the library for patrons to participate in without being led by staff. There are always crafts and coloring sheets available in the children’s area, which are not counted in this report. Other passive activities are the scavenger hunts in the children’s area, and seasonal teen activities such as Women’s History Month Trivia and a Literary Scavenger Hunt. The children’s area scavenger hunts are well-loved by the children and many participate every time they visit. 7 self-directed activities with 696 participants ## Teen Programs Teen programming was also very busy over the winter and spring season. Glow in the Dark Art, Taste Test Events, Teen Tuesdays and Corsage Making Class have all been popular programs. 11 programs had 88 teens in attendance ## Adults ## Programs Adult programs included Letter-Writing Workshop, Puzzle Palooza, Library Book Club, Tuesday Tech Help with Elaine, La Grande Band, and Virtual Author Events. The number below also includes all-ages events, like Glow Bingo, Bag sale for the Food Shelf, An Evening with Kate Di-Camillo. 20 programs had 562 adults in attendance ## Outreach Children’s outreach included monthly visits to the School District’s Early Childhood Center, Adult outreach included the Senior Expo as well as regular check-out on the road to three senior living communities. 3 outreach events serving 270 children 15 outreach events serving 543 adults
