Call to Order - Roll Call – The meeting was called to order by Beyer at 5:56 PM. Board Members Beyer, Grabau, Amos, Lonien, and Councilperson Oeltjen were present. Also present were Public Works Director Hale and Community Development Coordinator Gehling. ## II. Approval of Consent Agenda Matters listed below in this “Consent Agenda” are considered to be routine for the Park Board and shall be approved by one motion. If further discussion is desired regarding any item, it may be removed from the Consent Agenda for individual consideration. ## A. Park Board April 13, 2026 Minutes ## B. Park Board May 11, 2026 Agenda Motion made by Grabau, seconded by Amos to approve the consent agenda. Unanimously approved. ## III. Financial Update – N/A ## IV. New Business A. Bear Cave Park Disk Golf Shelter Discussion – Beyer explained that United Therapeutics and Mortenson had previously discussed constructing a new shelter at the new starting point of the disc golf course right off County Road 8. Gehling noted that City Administrator Bill Schimmel recently provided the companies with a list of potential community projects for consideration, which included the proposed shelter project. The Board expressed optimism that the project may be selected. In the meantime, Hale will obtain cost estimates for the construction of a shelter in the event they choose to pursue a different community project. B. Dog Park Shelter Damage Updates – Beyer explained that the dog park shelter was damaged during the recent tornado. Hale noted that the structure was insured for $3,500, though the claim process is still ongoing. The Board discussed the possibility of replacing the shelter with a permanent structure and agreed to wait until the insurance claim is finalized before determining exact plans moving forward. C. Five Year Capital Plan Review - Beyer reviewed the Five-Year Capital Plan with the Board, and discussion took place regarding the current plan and upcoming capital needs. Beyer asked the Board to review the existing plan as future budget planning approaches and encouraged members to consider potential new project(s) for 2031. ## V. Old Business A. Main Street Peace Park - Hale informed the Board that concrete has been poured, lights have been strung, planter boxes have been placed, and the dirt has been seeded. Hale noted that benches will be installed after the grass has become established and that trees are planned to be planted this fall. Hale also stated that a fence will be installed along the west side near Main Street at a later date. B. Rolling Ridge Park - Hale explained that Nicole Pierson is currently working on the design plans for the bathroom and shelter and anticipates receiving the completed plans within approximately three to four weeks.
