[0:00] Our [0:06] New Brighton [music] farmers market [0:08] every month does a community engagement [0:10] project. We do it throughout the summer [0:12] and then we continue it throughout our [0:14] winter project. [0:15] >> [music] [0:15] >> We do um an adopt a senior program in [0:18] February um where the community comes [0:20] together, [music] they donate funds, and [0:22] then Janna from Jana's gluten-free [0:24] bakery, she makes all the desserts, and [0:26] then we use those funds from the [0:28] community donations to then have these [0:30] desserts [music] to hand out to [0:32] different residents that live in senior [0:33] living communities near New Brighton. [0:36] Um, we've got a community engagement [0:37] [music] project over inside the market [0:40] where you can decorate cards which will [0:42] be attached to the desserts that we will [0:44] be handing out to our seniors in [0:45] February. [music] So, we're just getting [0:46] a jump start. We'll be decorating those [0:48] all in February and handing them out. [0:52] Like the lack of bees cuz the bees love [0:54] to eat the jam or like hang around the [0:56] jam. It's lovely being inside and being [0:58] a little bit closer to all the other [0:59] vendors that I really like. It's It's [1:02] [music] fun trying to come up with new [1:03] flavors that people will like that are [1:05] unique but not like so unique that [1:07] nobody wants them. [1:08] >> This is actually my first time um here [1:10] at the New [music] Brighton Market. You [1:12] know, I really enjoy having that, you [1:15] know, community to um like, you know, [1:18] support local makers and uh businesses. [1:25] Just be more mindful of [music] that [1:27] community engagement and just being [1:29] together.
