Um, we are meeting to canvas the returns of the school district special election. Um, do I have to do a res a motion to call the meeting to order? I always forget. I think we're good. Right. Okay. [laughter] Okay. So, I'm just going to jump right into the resolution. Um, the first one is the resolution canvasing the levy. Um, I'm going to read numbers one and two. Um, and then call for a motion. So all right. So this is the resolution um for the levy be it resolved by the school board of independent school district number 622 u state of Minnesota as follows. It is hereby found, determined, and declared that the special election of the voters of the school district held on November 4th, 20125 was in all respects duly and legally called and held as specified in the attached abstract and return of votes cast at said election. [laughter] A total of 13,610 voters of the school district voted on the question of revoking the existing referendum revenue authorization of the school district and replacing the authorization with a new authorization for tax payable in 2026 and thereafter. This is school district question number one of which 5,79 voted in favor and 7,91 voted against the same uh said proposition having not received the approval of at least a majority of votes um is hereby declared to have failed. [laughter] Um so number three so as specified in the attached abstract and return of votes cast at said election a total of 13,62 voters of the school district voted on the question of approving capital project levy to fund technology of the school district for taxes payable in 2026. And this is school district question two of which 6,44 voted in favor 7,558 voted against. Uh said proposition having not received the approval of at least a majority of such votes is hereby declared to have failed. It is hereby found determined and declared that the spe the special election of voters of this school district held on November 4th, 2025 was in all respects duly and legally called and held as specified in the attached abstract and return of votes cast. A total of 11,515 voters of the school district voted at said special election on the election of one individual to fill the vacancy in the term of school board member expiring January 4th, 2027 as follows. Finding the next page. Um, Sam Sam Rosemark 7,198. Justin Midaw 4,121. Sam Rosemark, having received the highest number of votes, is elected to fill the vacancy in the term of school board member expiring January 4th, 2027. Um whereas the school or therefore whereas the school board canvas a special [laughter] election for a vacancy on the school board on November 4th, 2025. Now therefore be it resolved by the school board [laughter] of independent uh school district number 622 that the board chair and clerk are hereby authorized to execute the certificate of election on behalf of the school board of independent school district number 622 to Sam Rosemark who has received a sufficiently large number of votes to fill the vacancy in the term of school board member expiring January 4th 2027. Such individual shall take office as soon as he or she qualifies. Um, the certificate of election shall be in substantially the form attached.
