However, due to previously drafted amendments by Commissioner Sharon Clark Williams aimed at clarifying the commission's purpose, and the potential for a forthcoming workshop to inform further changes, a motion was made to table the review. This postponement to the December meeting allows commissioners more time to familiarize themselves with the bylaws and consider comprehensive updates.
Art Cart Replacement
Dissent: Commissioner Carrie Neto voiced a preference for the old cart due to its large fold-out side and the sentimental value of its existing artwork.

The commission discussed replacing their existing art cart with a newer, lighter, aluminum trailer proposed by Scott Dudgera. The new cart is easier for public works to move, has a loading ramp, and has seen minimal use. While the current cart features a large fold-out side, it's often difficult to operate due to hydraulic issues. Commissioners weighed the pros and cons, including the cost of repainting or wrapping the new cart, and ultimately reached an informal consensus to move forward with the newer cart.

So, according to the bylaws for the um commission is that you guys um will have to review them every two years.
Sharon had actually drafted some potential amendments to our bylaws um to kind of clarify a little bit better what our purpose is as an arts and culture commission.
I would like to make a motion that we table this until at least the December meeting.
So, if you received your email, uh we have an opportunity to use a different cart as our art cart. Uh it is easier for public works to move. It is newer, it seems.
The other thing is we've got those benches that don't fold at all. There's the metal benches. So, it doesn't really fix that problem. I don't know. I think there's pros and cons to it.
