Finance Director Winnick explained this as the initial step in a bond issuance process to fund the 2025 street projects, which are consistent with the Capital Improvement Plan. He noted that while a maximum of $7 million in bonds is sought, the estimated cost is closer to $6.6 million, with funds expected in May to support a June construction start. A public hearing is scheduled for March 4th.

Engineer Dolly presented the resolution to authorize advertising for bids for the 2025 Street and Utility Improvement Project in the Casey Lake Area. He specified the affected streets (Gerald Avenue, Shawnee Drive, Bule Avenue) and indicated an estimated cost over $6.5 million, consistent with the CIP. Bids are expected in late March, with a contract award in early April, and construction slated for mid-May, following coordination with Xcel Gas and City Electric for utility work.

This is the beginning of a short but lengthy process of issuing bonds
right now the estimates have been pretty tight from the preliminaries to the last estimates you know we just dependent on how the bids come in but we're somewhere about that $6.6 million Mark but our Baker Tilly our advisor is saying just put a little bit more for the maximum amount so that's why we put the maximum of 7 million at this point in time
this item is a continuation of what Finance director winnick could set up for you um separate from the bonding which is the financing for the project there's a requirement by State Statute for larger projects such as this to be advertised for sealed bidding
But generally we're talking about the Improvement of streets and utilities on Gerald Avenue Shaunie Drive uh bule Avenue uh in that Casey Lake uh uh Park area just west of mcnight Road
