[0:02] Hello Saint Paul Public Schools community. As we enter this season of gratitude, I want to take [0:07] a moment to pause and reflect on everything we have to be thankful for. As your superintendent, [0:13] what I am most grateful for this year is the opportunity to serve our students, [0:17] staff, and families in SPPS. From the bottom of my heart, thank you for all the gifts that you bring [0:24] to Saint Paul Public Schools. This month we are also celebrating two important cultural events. [0:32] November is Native American Heritage Month, a time to honor the traditions and languages and [0:37] stories of our Native communities. SPPS is proud of our American Indian Studies program and all [0:44] of the American Indian students and families who we serve across our schools. This month is also [0:50] Hmong New Year. This year we recognize the 50th anniversary of the end of the Vietnam/Secret War [0:58] and the resettlement of the Hmong community in the United States. I am so thankful for our Hmong [1:04] students, families, and staff who make significant contributions to our overall success as a school [1:10] district. No matter how you celebrate this time of year, I hope that you can take the opportunity [1:16] to reflect on what you are thankful for. On behalf of all of us at Saint Paul Public Schools., thank [1:23] you for being part of our community. Ua tsaug ~ Miigwech ~ Nyob Zoo Xyoo Tshiab ~ Thank you
