[0:00] I'm Khali Herur and I'm honored to
[0:01] [music] serve as St. Paul's mayor. As a
[0:04] refugee, a mom, and a neighbor, I have
[0:07] [music] seen how a safe home, a good
[0:09] job, and a welcoming community can
[0:11] change the course of a family's life.
[0:13] That's the St. Paul I'm committed
[0:15] [music] to building with you. In new
[0:17] housing going up across our city, in the
[0:19] quiet corners of our libraries, [music]
[0:21] and in the energy of our recreation
[0:23] centers, I see the same hope. Families
[0:26] who deserve stable housing. Kids who
[0:28] have the opportunity to [music] learn
[0:29] and play and neighbors who feel safe and
[0:32] connected on our east [music] side
[0:34] corridors at local grocery stores,
[0:36] schools, youth spaces, cultural centers,
[0:39] and future sites like the Hams Brewery
[0:41] Redevelopment. [music]
[0:42] We're reimagining what's possible. That
[0:45] means preserving what people love about
[0:47] their neighborhoods while opening to new
[0:49] opportunities. Our [music] next chapter
[0:51] will be written in every community, and
[0:53] it will take all of us. will invest in
[0:56] affordable homes and vibrant local
[0:57] businesses, protect our libraries
[0:59] [music] and parks, and make sure every
[1:02] young person can see their future here.
[1:04] I am excited [music] for what we can
[1:06] build together for a St. Paul that is
[1:08] safer, more affordable, more connected,
[1:11] and full of possibilities for everyone
[1:14] [music] who calls it home.
