From [0:10] preK all the way through graduation, our [0:13] personal learning plan is all about you. [0:16] It [music] helps us understand more [0:17] about ourselves through lessons about [0:20] self-discovery, financial literacy, [0:22] career awareness, and post-secary [0:24] education. Starting early, we get to [0:27] explore what we're good at and what we [0:29] love to do. It's like an adventure where [0:31] we learn more about ourselves every day. [0:34] The personal learning plan helps us [0:36] explore careers with excellent [0:38] opportunities at every grade level as we [0:40] grow. Through the high school career [0:43] [music] pathways program, we can take [0:45] foundational courses and even more [0:47] options, including advanced and college [0:49] [music] credit classes. At the [0:51] district-wide career pathways program, [0:54] we get to explore four exciting career [0:56] fields: science and medical, innovative [0:59] and emerging technology, business [1:01] [music] and communications, and [1:03] education and human services. These [1:05] fields open a world of possibilities. [1:08] With hands-on learning and leadership [1:10] opportunities in clubs and [1:12] organizations, we can explore our [1:14] interests more deeply. Imagine building [1:17] robots, leading a debate team, or [1:19] running a school store. High school [1:22] students can earn industry [music] [1:24] certifications like certified nursing [1:26] assistant, Microsoft Excel, and [1:28] automotive service excellence. How [1:31] awesome is that? These certifications [1:33] give us a head start in our careers. [1:35] Thanks to our strong partnerships with [1:37] local organizations and businesses, we [1:40] get realworld learning experiences. [1:43] We can go on tours, meet professionals, [1:46] do mock interviews, and even get paid [1:48] internships. These experiences help us [1:51] learn about career paths we might want [1:53] to pursue after high school. [music] And [1:55] guess what? We even get to decide if we [1:57] like them or not before making big [1:59] decisions about our future. the personal [2:02] learning plan out our future world [2:04] careers by giving us practical skills [2:07] and valuable experience.
