It does not seem right to me that somebody who is 17 and somebody who is 18 could be standing next to each other doing the exact same job, but one of them could be paid less simply because they have not yet turned 18.

To me, work is work no matter what how old you are, and I know that for our young folks who are 14 to 17 deciding to take on a job, it's really because they want to be there as a way to support their families and most importantly to not be a financial burden for whoever is caring for them.

One of the things I'm proudest of to be in St. Paul is that we um empower young people, and we respect their opinions and their feedback and their experiences, and we do that in a number of ways... and this to me just seems like the natural next step in aligning our policies with our values.

When you're on a fixed income, you you know, you do the best that you can. And I understand the ordinance, but I believe at this time we've cemented it, we've done some things the structural engineer asked me to do. It's structurally sound. I think the ordinance has been satisfied.

The city has not designed the solution that should be put into place. The city has not said, "Here's what you have to do. It's going to cost this amount of money." There's flexibility for the owner to work with the engineer who I mean, he would be their client and be able to come up with a solution that they find appropriate for this and propose it.

I'm just curious to know if we can also um, upon sending an inspector, we can also send someone um, to do like a traffic analysis around that intersection cuz I think one of the things I want to um, assess for is not just like are you in compliant with you know, fixing a fence, but there might be some structural things that we may may need to put forth um, to actually ensure that this incident doesn't happen again.

Um I just wanted to say thank you for taking this under consideration. Um this is an alley vacation, an alley that's never going to be used um and is just going to add some additional property to our property, increase the tax base, and we're looking to improve density and bring affordable housing to St. Paul, which we both live in.

Uh we support up-and-coming youth artists with workshops taught by professional artists, mentors, give them the free studio time with professional sound engineers, and performing opportunities throughout the city, including the opportunity to perform on the same bill with local artists that made it in the industry at this August 29th event.
