CALL TO ORDER. 1.1. Roll Call. The Belle Plaine Parks Commission met in Regular Session on Monday, May 18, 2026 at City Hall 218 North Meridian Street, Belle Plaine, MN. Chair Moonen called the meeting to order at 5:00 PM with Commissioners Crosby, Koepp and Walsh present. Commissioner Lawler was absent. Also present were Council Liaison’s Hartmann and Theas and City Administrator Meyer. ## 2. APPROVAL OF AGENDA. MOTION by Commissioner Hartmann, second by Commissioner Walsh, to approve the agenda as presented. ALL VOTED AYE. MOTION CARRIED. 3. APPROVAL OF MINUTES. 3.1. Regular Session Minutes of April 20, 2026. MOTION by Commissioner Crosby, second by Commissioner Hartmann, to approve the Regular Session Minutes of April 20, 2026. ALL VOTED AYE. MOTION CARRIED. 4. TREASURERS REPORT. Next Report in June. None. ## 5. DISCUSSION ITEMS. 5.1. 2026 Parks Commission Goals. City Administrator Meyer provided an update on the Pickleball Court. The commission held discussion on goals. The following goals were decided, further discussion and prioritizing will happen at the next meeting. ##  Adaptive Playground – Heritage Square Park ##  Pickleball Court – Century Park ##  Basketball Court Expansion & Refurbishment – Chatfield Square Park  Dog Park add trees – Hickory Park  Skate Park – Expanded use scooters/bikes/adaptive equipment – Heritage Square Park  Refurbishment of restrooms and shelter – Court Square Park ##  Development Land near Fountain Park Previous Goals: in progress ##  Veteran’s Park Updates – In progress  Prairie Park Updates – in bidding process. The Commission requested a list of undeveloped Parks with name, location and year established for review at the next meeting. ## 6. ADMINISTRATIVE REPORTS. 6.1. Commissioner Comments.
