--- ## title: July 2026- Superintendent's Board Report --- ## July 13, 2026 Board Report ● Thank you for your incredible support and partnership! Below you will find the Superintendent’s Monthly Board Report. ## Sharing Our Story ● Work has begun on our track and is scheduled to be completed at the end of summer. Knowing this project will occur in July and August, ahead of school, the team has been looking ahead to activities they may need to relocate in the short term and will communicate as needed. This short term disruption will be worth the long term benefit for our kids. Because this is a replacement, we were able to use restricted funds in LTFM (Long Term Facilities Maintenance) to do this work. These dollars can only be used for this purpose. ● Additionally, we expect work on the city-partnership parking lot off of Hope Avenue to get started this month. It will be so awesome for our families to have access to over 60 parking spaces in that area. As we all know, Hope Avenue is jam packed with cars many nights a week with activities! Work is anticipated to be complete before Labor Day. ● As we discussed this past February and March as part of our Budget discussions, with any vacancy we review the position and either reduce due to attrition or refill as needed. With the Director of Buildings and Grounds and Custodial Building Lead openings early this summer, we reviewed scenarios in relation to their financial and organizational impacts and felt it was best to reassign a bulk of those duties to a current Director and restructure a Lead position to and Assistant Director role. Cullen Bahn's position will be updated as Director of Community Education and Operations. Adam Haller was hired as an Assistant Director of Operations position that is responsible for the daily building lead duties and the reassignment of some of the duties from not filling the Director position. We feel good about the team we have in place, the effectiveness and efficiency of these new structures, and will continue to monitor any needed shifts through implementation of this new structure. ● We continue to monitor enrollment throughout the summer and believe we will remain steady for this fall despite graduating out a larger senior class than the kindergarten class coming in. ○ As we do each summer, we monitor and typically make adjustments as needed in August to staffing and course offerings. ○ Our current kindergarten registrations are about 30 students over last year’s numbers, so we added the staffing in June. We anticipate 6 sections this coming school year for kindergarten. (Last year we had 4 sections.) ● While our students and families enjoy a well-deserved summer break, our staff is hard at work preparing for an exciting new school year! Over the coming weeks, we'll continue refreshing classrooms, completing deep cleaning projects, updating our handbooks, procedures, and website, processing enrollment and registration materials, and tackling the many behind-the-scenes tasks that help create a positive start for every student.
