Community Development Director McCabe presented proposed amendments to city code sections related to commercial, Town Center performance standards, and architectural design. The Planning Commission had previously recommended these amendments. Council members viewed the changes as business-friendly while maintaining the city's desired brand standards.

I think this is a nice amendment that you know we've heard a lot about at least over the past six years since since I've been here um that I think it's it's business friendly and ensures new buildings well aesthetically still look good and maintain the brains the brand standards of Briar Lake and our small town feel.
