[0:00] After years of heavy use, Prior Lakes
[0:01] parks show their age. Guided by resident
[0:03] feedback, the city has a $60 million
[0:05] plan to improve neighborhood parks,
[0:07] trails, and add amenities at Spring Lake
[0:09] and Lakefront Parks. More pickleball
[0:10] courts, hockey rinks, year-round
[0:12] restroom, safe inclusive playgrounds to
[0:14] start. If approved, residents of all
[0:15] ages will have better access to
[0:17] recreation with an updated park within a
[0:18] half mile of every home. The tax impact
[0:20] builds gradually, reaching about $22 per
[0:23] month for a median valued home by 2031.
[0:25] Residents have the final say. Early
[0:27] voting is underway at city hall.
