This is an increase from from last year when I came here by a little over 2,000. So

we're doing this in 2026 payable in tax year 27. So it will impact the fiscal 28 or 2728 school year.

the numbers that you see reflected here are they're they're still below if you look at comparable districts these numbers kind of get you know we talked about the teachers in past sea negotiations we wanted to get the teachers you know closer to the middle of surrounding districts this is kind of along those same lines but there are still many many comparable districts that compensate for superintend and much more than Dr. Re. So I want to bring that up and one thing that Dr. Re was looking for was more time necessarily the compensation and I hope I'm not too with that but you know that was the motivation.

I just think that, you know, everyone deserves a right to know that we're putting our full effort into researching these things. Um the survey that we just got done using maybe partially to make these decisions. A lot of those topics we can be experts on like the finances. We have those numbers. We can see where we stand on those things. The culture and climate, I'm not in those buildings nearly as much as others are. So the the 19 participants of particular survey. Um, more than half of them aren't necessarily in the buildings rather than the district office and they're in a set of countries, you know. So, I I don't I'm not here to make a determination on this contract. I'm just asking that there's pretty much no way that public know we're doing this or even discussing this until Wednesday. School got out Thursday. I doubt anybody that has any interest in what we're doing is paying that close attention right now.

I will say from an evaluation standpoint, MSBA does not recommend the approach that we take in our district for the evaluation. Their recommendation is only the board does the evaluation and no one else because the superintendent is the board's responsibility. No one else is. And so we actually go above and beyond what most districts do. Most districts only have the board duty by superintendent.

the amount of turn between super couple of interire hopefully gonna be around for a few years. Um and just that that stability and where we where we were financially culturally this district light night and day.

This needs to be approved prior to June 30th because as of effective July 1st, we're in the next school year. And so effectively what this does is it cancels the third year of the current contract, creates a new three-year contract in the technical construct of policy.
