[0:03] Welcome back to the dig where we give
[0:05] you all the dirt on the latest
[0:06] developments happening in Shakabe. Today
[0:09] we're along Mary'stown Road where a
[0:11] major reconstruction project is
[0:12] beginning.
[0:14] The project will reconstruct Mary'stown
[0:16] Road between 17th and 12th Avenues,
[0:20] including Adam Street. The roadway will
[0:22] become a two-lane divided road with new
[0:25] single-lane roundabouts at Beerling
[0:27] Drive and the Highway 169 ramp
[0:30] intersections.
[0:31] Phase one of the reconstruction will
[0:33] include the construction of a roundabout
[0:35] at the intersection of Mary'stown Road
[0:37] and the southbound Highway 169 ramp.
[0:40] During construction, the road will be
[0:42] closed and traffic will be detourred
[0:44] along Beerling Drive, Fuller Street,
[0:47] County Road 69, and 17th Avenue. The
[0:50] city is also creating a temporary
[0:52] entrance to Tapa Park using the parking
[0:55] lot off Beerling Drive to build a
[0:56] connecting road for the duration of
[0:58] construction.
[1:00] The road will reopen for the winter
[1:02] until phase 2 begins in spring 2026.
[1:06] Construction is scheduled to begin in
[1:08] fall 2025 with the project scheduled to
[1:11] be complete in fall 2026.
[1:14] And that's the dig. For more information
