What are the remedies if concerns pop up? So, mayor and council, as you'd mentioned, mayor, there's the board of adjustment appeals looked at all of the conditions that are in the current ordinance. If there are violations, they would notify the police department, the code enforcement officer would go out and then they would get back to us and as we said at the board of adjustments, then the board of adjustments could then revoke the license.
The Baymont Hotel has been the subject of continuing concerns involving management practices, public safety, police calls for service, disturbances, criminal activity, fire and life safety concerns and repeated demands upon city's resources.
The police department had told them that that was not a good idea and that it was a possibly violating many multiple uh ordinances uh city ordinances. and the management decided that they went ahead and were going to do it anyway.
I want to reiterate to the council that the oper that the ownership group here takes this very seriously. um we 100% acknowledge responsibility for a failure, a distinct failure uh in this event.

I think if if council decides to go that route, which I'm positive that has not been determined at this point, um I would prefer our staff team along with our police department and our zoning coordinator to be a part of that process if that's council's wishes.
