122nd Street Road Improvements - Cul-de-sac Construction and Road Termination

Lift Station Number 16 Pump Replacement

Lift Station 16, a small station serving Cali Crossing, requires immediate pump replacement due to a recent failure, moving its scheduled replacement forward from 2031 in the CIP. Staff recommended replacing both pumps with economical options, given the station's low flow characteristics, and keeping the single working pump as a backup, for a cost not to exceed $11,400.

So, what you're voting on tonight would be just the agreement that would allow them to do the analysis of the TIF. So, you're not voting on approving a TIF or anything at that moment.
I mean, you think of how long this has sat there. You know, I mean, decades. We Yeah, we would have entertained and we've looked at a few over the years, but we certainly would entertained, you know, commercial options there, but it's empty. It's been empty.
Uh we replaced these pumps back in 2019. Um the station is what serves Cali Crossing. It's on Hillcrest Court. Uh it's a very small station. Uh originally it was private. It was taken over by the city. Uh pretty low flow um pretty low flows in that station compared to other lift stations in the city.
We You could look at other pumps that are rebuildable, those kinds of things, but um when I do the math, these are still they're cheaper per year even at 7 years of life.
