Award Bid and Expand Scope of Work for the 2026-2027 Sanitary Sewer Lining Project

Staff presented bids for the sewer lining project, which came in favorably, well within the budget range. This created an opportunity to utilize remaining Met Council grant funds, approximately $107,000, to expand the project's scope. The council provided consensus for staff to either increase sewer footage or add manhole lining in the same project area, which was originally intended if costs allowed.
Reschedule November City Council Meeting
The Council discussed rescheduling its November 2nd meeting, which falls on the first Monday of the month. Reasons for rescheduling included the City Administrator's absence and the need for canvassing election votes. A consensus was reached to move the meeting to November 9th.
Resolution of the Preliminary Levy for 2027

Um bids, we did receive seven bids which we were happy to have and um they came in very favorably. Um low bid was 393,000 and some change. High bid was 594,000. Um so we were well within our bid range. Um it did provide us an opportunity also to maximize what we're receiving through the grant.
So it would be the same project area but now doing manhole lining in addition to the actual Yep. which you intended to do earlier if possible. Correct. Yeah. Then that makes a lot of sense to me.
