I just want to talk about the resolution that was passed in my absence and I want to address the fact that I had no prior knowledge that this was going to happen. So I think having an item of this significance uh brought up and on the agenda without any prior notice is just disrespectful to the board members as a whole, as a team, as a group. It's disrespectful to our community and our stakeholders. And it's always so disrespectful to our administration.

Member Tyson [0:36:13]Consent Agenda Item 6.1 (Resolution on Community Engagement and Business Relations)

The agenda that we approve every week that's presented and posted online... it's a proposal until the board accepts it. And once the board accepts it, it is finalized. So every board member has the right to make amendments to the agenda just like any other motion that we address and as long as there is a majority of members who agree with that amendment that amendment goes forward...

And to be transparent is that isn't that the word we keep using transparency and being open and honest and showing you showing the community that we want them to understand what's going on and to be able to show up for things that they they care about and if they don't know and then they find out later, well, I didn't know that was gonna, you know, so it's just it's a building of trust in the community.

I did some research and actually um talked with MSBA Terry Moral said it wasn't unanimous, it was majority. Oh, so I if that's I don't know if we want to If you want to double check that because you and I had discussed that.

Member Tyson [0:55:05]Action Item 7.3: Board Member Approval for Employment in the School District (Member Christensen)

The there are stipulations. You have to make less than $20,000 a year, which I make um significantly less than that. So there's no problem there. And um it's been approved, you know, two other times without incident. So it's a it's a common thing.
