I'm here tonight to just ask you to please look beyond your own self and look for a someone who is very qualified, someone maybe the community has already voted for, maybe someone who's worked at the schools, who knows a lot. You've got a lot of good people, but my my thought is it should be someone with a very short time to be here and it would be nice to have somebody that the community has maybe known for a while and can take off on day one and and then not run.

You just have to look at the entire picture. That's one of the things that and I think parenting comes in handy with that. You really get to see like all sides. They always say that there's three sides. Their side, your side, and the truth, right? And so you always want to try and make sure that you understand what the actual truth is and come up with a reasonable solution that way.

I think there's an occasional lack of respect for another's opinion because it there's an attack rendered back against you. It's not a I understand your perspective. How do we get through that? It's a well, one has nothing to do with the other. So, how dare you link those things? Well, in my mind, they're linked. So, if they're not in your mind, help me get over that hurdle because maybe maybe it's my problem. And if I'm willing to admit that maybe it's my problem, maybe you can help me get over that hurdle.

And what I learned in consulting is when you support our students with special needs, you support all of your learners because anything that works well for a student with with a um unique um or high support need helps students with other needs as well. So, it's been um a fun collaboration for me with general ed and special education kind of blended.

I put on my tagline on the district site that I wanted to be on the board and see that four area schools became the premier district that it's it can be. And you know, people came back around to ask me that. When's that going to happen, Gail? When are you going to pass the levy? When are you going to pass the bond? You know, my son is sharing a textbook. You know, all those things. And at some point I was like going, 'Oh, I put a lofty thing on there.' But you know what? It came around and it happened. And so like member Corkin said, I have so much pride that I stuck out all these terms on the board.

I'm running for this position because I believe uh education is paramount. Um above all else, strong academics um and my lifelong roots and leadership is what I'm hoping to be able to contribute right away.

These kids need to feel safe all the time. Whether it's from the outside or from the inside, these kids can't be going to school, feeling someone's there to harm them, someone's um looking over their shoulder, not wanting to go to the bathroom alone, just always feeling safe.
