The purpose of this policy is to create a new fund balance classifications to allow for more useful fund balance reporting and for compliance with the reporting guidelines specified in statement number 54 of the government accounting standards board.
I do not agree with section 10 and the revised fund balance policy. Remediation was added to the finance committee after after the finance committee approved the original policy and the committee does not support the new language, which was very clear at our last meeting.
