Strategy for Paying Off 3M Solar Landfill Bond Issue
Moved by Chair [0:31] · Seconded by Unknown [0:32]
Following the rejection of a grant for solar at the 3M landfill, the EDA discussed alternative strategies to pay off the remaining $3.25 million bond, which is critical for future development. Initial suggestions included seeking legal advice on state legislative action, but the consensus shifted towards staff or elected officials (Mayor/Council) directly advocating with state representatives during a bonding session. The chair sought permission from the EDA to engage the City Council on this matter.
