[0:08] Spike is hammered down by Dan [0:13] Park. All right. [0:26] See you later. [0:55] An absolute mess of a snowstorm outside, [0:57] but inside we welcome you to the calm [1:00] before the storm. A suburban East [1:02] Conference collision featuring the [1:04] visiting team, the 32 and0 Roseville [1:06] Raiders taking on the White Bear Lake [1:08] Bears, 31 and one early on the year. And [1:13] it's so good to have you here at SEC [1:15] Sports inside SC inside TCO Sports [1:18] Garden. I'm Zach Halverson. We welcome [1:20] you to a high school boys hockey affair [1:22] featuring a couple of teams who are [1:24] very, very familiar with each other. [1:26] Plenty of history between these two [1:28] squads and it should make for a very [1:31] entertaining game here tonight. The [1:33] White Bear Lake Bears coming into this [1:35] one having a great start to their season [1:38] thus far. One brief stumble against [1:41] Centennial. Otherwise, they started the [1:43] year with a great uh tie over a top team [1:47] in the state Minnotonka. They also beat [1:50] Rogers on the road and are coming into [1:52] this one with a two-game winning streak, [1:54] beating a couple of suburban East [1:56] Conference opponents in the Mountains [1:58] View Mustangs in the Park of Cottage [2:00] Grove Wolfpack. The Bears making their [2:03] way out onto the ice. They are led by [2:05] goalender Lucas Austin making his first [2:08] varsity start of his young career. Lucas [2:12] Austin, not much to talk about, at least [2:14] in terms of stats right now. He will uh [2:17] start the uh stat sheet tonight uh with [2:19] uh all zeros so far uh in his crease, [2:23] but he will uh certainly uh be excited [2:26] to uh be in that crease for the first [2:28] time ever wearing that Bears jersey on [2:31] the varsity level. Uh we mentioned White [2:34] Bear Lake coming into this one 3-1 and [2:37] one. They are led by yet another road. [2:41] Have to make the most of this one. [2:43] They've had a long line of roads over [2:46] the many years, but this one right now, [2:49] Nash Road is making his case here [2:52] already on the year. Five goals, four [2:55] assists for nine points. He'll look to [2:57] reach double digit points tonight [3:00] against the Raiders and uh will [3:02] certainly uh be a tough test for the the [3:05] Roseville Raiders tonight. Uh the [3:08] Raiders for their part, they have some [3:10] talent as well. Garrett Heights coming [3:12] in seven goals, seven assists for 14 [3:15] points. He will get the start as well as [3:18] some other great talent. Grant Jackowski [3:22] and plenty more as well. In goal for the [3:25] Raiders will be Henry Hams Dulki. He [3:28] comes in on the year with a 2.67 goals [3:31] against 89% save percentage for his [3:34] start with a two and one record. And the [3:37] Raiders certainly have had a great [3:38] season uh start of their own. Uh you [3:41] know, anytime you can get three out of [3:44] the first five, that is uh certainly [3:45] good. And they have uh certainly done [3:48] that. So uh it is youth night here. You [3:51] can see the youth players out there for [3:53] White Bear Lake. Uh free admission for [3:56] youth, Whitebear youth hockey players as [3:58] long as you wear your jersey. So you see [4:00] plenty of jerseys in the crowd from the [4:02] hearty folks who made their way here [4:04] tonight. mentioned the the big snowstorm [4:07] on its outside. Not easy to get here, [4:09] not easy to park, but certainly well [4:12] worth it for a big suburban East [4:15] Conference tilt between White Bear Lake [4:17] and Roseville. All here on SCC Sports. [4:21] We're coming up on the drop of the puck, [4:23] but for now, we will pause here and [4:26] listen in on the Star Spangled Banner. [4:28] It's White Bear Lake. It's Roseville. [4:30] It's coming up right now on SEC Sports. [4:45] Heat. Heat. [4:54] Heat. Heat. [5:12] Heat. Heat. [5:53] And here we go. [5:56] Love the early season affairs, [5:57] especially when you have conference [6:00] rivals like White Bear Lake and [6:01] Roseville. Good time to see really what [6:04] uh the team is made of here. Got some [6:07] big games coming up for the White Bear [6:10] Lake Bears ahead after this one on the [6:13] road against Weisetta before, of course, [6:15] the big rivalry tilt at Aldridge against [6:19] Hill Murray. So, this is a very uh a big [6:23] part of the season for the Bears. want [6:25] to get those wins while you can. You [6:26] look at the standings there. The ponies [6:28] also on the horizon for White Bear Lake. [6:30] They are ahead of them in the standings [6:31] right now just because they play more [6:33] conference games. The Bears will look to [6:35] join the ponies on top with the win [6:37] tonight. Roseville, of course, toward [6:39] the bottom at the early stages, but [6:42] again, it's early. A lot of uh games [6:44] still to be played here uh for both [6:46] teams. And uh certainly uh again, just a [6:50] good time to to learn about your team [6:51] and get them all prepared. [6:55] White Bear Lakes former coach Tim Sager [6:59] often said these are 25 practice games. [7:01] Everybody makes the playoffs. You just [7:03] want to use them to prepare for the [7:05] postseason. By the way, Chris Anderson, [7:07] the head coach for White Bear Lake in [7:08] his third year for the White Bear Lake [7:11] Bears. Roseville has Scott Stefen in his [7:13] seventh year. Henry Hems Dulkkey two-1 [7:15] record for the Raiders. two six seven [7:18] goals against will be a big part for the [7:21] Raiders success tonight if they can hold [7:24] off this powerful Bears offense. We are [7:26] underway. Raiders and the Bears. The [7:29] Raiders do win the draw and they'll work [7:30] it right in and fire a shot just wide of [7:32] the goal right away. Quick break out for [7:34] White Bear Lake up the left wing side. [7:36] It's Ben. He'll send a long pass that's [7:38] broken up. Here comes Roseville into the [7:40] zone off the official but picked up here [7:42] by Keenan. He'll try to navigate his way [7:44] through. Here's Howard. Howard tries to [7:46] center. broken up by White Bear Lake and [7:48] it's slid over right side for Ben. Ben [7:50] takes it, cuts from right to left, takes [7:52] a big hit at the blue line. Good job by [7:56] Roseville getting physical early as they [7:58] get the puck deep into the White Bear [8:00] Lake and behind the goal. Veneruso will [8:02] skate it now. Knocks it off the glass to [8:04] center. Roseville picking it up here at [8:06] the red line, firing it back down deep [8:08] and White Bear Lake retreats once again. [8:10] Tyler Leon for White Bear Lake will [8:13] handle it. goes off the back wall and [8:15] the Bears again play it to center trying [8:18] to cut his way through. Here's a chance [8:19] for Mo and it poked off his stick. He's [8:21] dangerous. Highly touted from the [8:24] coaching staff here as Roseville tries [8:26] to cut their way back. Great defensive [8:28] play by Lucas Mor and he'll send us a [8:30] sliding pass up to Liam Malloy. It'll go [8:33] off his backand as he drives it deep [8:35] into the Roseville end. Minute gone [8:38] here. Curi number one. Puck tied up [8:40] behind the Roseville goal. Knocked free. [8:43] Racing after it up the far side is [8:45] Troska. He is harassed there by Leon. [8:48] Leon got it down low and then shaking [8:50] off a hit. The Raiders trying to find [8:52] some open ice and they'll backhanded [8:54] forward towards the blue line, but it's [8:56] broken up by Nashville. He'll steal [8:57] away. Sends a regroup pass to his left [9:00] and Veneruso will play it off of Raider. [9:02] It's stolen free but then the Bears will [9:05] handle it right back [9:08] into the zone. Matawitz cuts from right [9:11] to left. Backhand shot save rebound just [9:13] wanting to the goal. Matawitz great [9:15] individual effort driving that Roseville [9:18] net but it's kept away by Hamski. [9:21] Here comes Roseville backhand. Daniel [9:24] turned away nicely. Lucas Austin his [9:26] first save of his varsity career at [9:29] White Bear Lake. [9:31] Max Butters goes behind [9:36] and White Bear Lake trying to clear. [9:38] Butters cuts his way through. takes a [9:40] big hit. Puck comes free and it's slid [9:42] along to center. [9:47] Roseville with a jump here. [9:50] Tries to center. Knocked back behind the [9:52] White Bear Lake. [9:55] There's pick up long nice saucer pass [9:59] St. Martin to center. Hits a shin pad. [10:02] Goes to the corner. [10:04] There's pick it up. Matawitz to the blue [10:06] line. [10:08] Goes to his left. The shot just misses. [10:10] Hits the glass. Rims back out to center. [10:13] Trying to keep it in front of him is [10:14] Bridging, but it goes back behind him. [10:16] Bears regroup. They touch up. They'll [10:18] skate right back in. And a shot turned [10:20] away. Covered up by Hams Daly. We have [10:22] our first stop. The 257 mark period one. [10:26] It's scoreless. [10:28] Good look there for the Bears. And you [10:30] love that effort. Both lines [10:33] starting to roll here. [10:45] Draw forced out by Roseville. Great [10:47] speed here by Jacaboski. [10:52] Knocked away by Austin [10:56] and a pass up the half wall. Slides out [10:59] the center, but it's met by Brady Keenan [11:02] who drops it back in deep. [11:08] pass misses the mark but will go on goal [11:11] and that forces Hams Delki to just cover [11:13] up. [11:16] Not an icing. That's can't get the [11:19] icing. Uh that's definitely what you [11:20] want for White Bear Lake. And fortunate [11:23] break for Roseville. Have to defend [11:26] another defensive zone draw. [11:31] Both shots right now on goal for the [11:36] White Bear Lake Bears. [11:46] Raiders win another big draw. They'll [11:48] work it back behind their goal and then [11:49] out to center. It'll find its way to [11:52] Mugward Stick and he'll drop it back [11:54] down low in the Roseville end. [11:58] Tanner Olsen for the Bears. curls out, [12:01] finds some open ice, but lost the puck. [12:03] Here's Roseville threatening, and a shot [12:05] goes high and over the shoulder of [12:08] Austin. Comes all the way back out in [12:09] front of the Roseville bench, and the [12:11] Raiders will again drop it back deep [12:13] into the White Bear Lake zone. [12:16] Mark [12:17] reverses direction behind the goal, [12:20] slides it along here, Nash Road [12:24] for Richie. And now into the zone comes [12:25] White Bear Lake. It's Larson. Luke [12:28] Larson fighting his way through. Cuts [12:30] across. Gets some help and support from [12:33] Mallaloy. Mallaloy make that manus [12:36] bends. Cuts free with it. Goes back to [12:38] the blue line for Mort. Mor fires one. [12:41] Redirected just wide of the goal. And [12:43] the Raiders will clear it out of harm's [12:46] way to center at least for the moment. [12:48] Picked up by Luke Clark for White Bear [12:50] Lake. Slid back in before it's cleared [12:51] out by Roseville. [12:54] Tyler Leon works it backwards for [12:57] Venerusa. [12:58] He'll give it to Mor. Mor across and [13:01] then racing after. Here comes Malloy. [13:03] LIAM MALLOY MOVING IN. MALLALOY. SCORE. [13:07] The Bears STRIKE FIRST. IT'S LIAM [13:09] MALLOY. AND it's one- nothing White Bear [13:12] Lake. [13:18] What a pass. [13:20] And what an effort by Mallaloy to win [13:23] the race. The puck [13:28] and get this White Bear Lake team up [13:30] one- nothing early. [13:35] Just racing there. Got there and then [13:38] the beautiful backhand. Not much of [13:40] anything [13:42] Pam's Delulkey could do. [13:45] And a big good start for White Bear [13:48] Lake. Raiders trying to respond here as [13:50] they force it deep into the White Bear [13:53] Lake again, but the Bears able to break [13:55] it out. It's Nash Road moving in. Malloy [13:57] to his left and taking a hit is Road. He [14:00] lost the puck and it comes free. The [14:02] Raiders send it off the wall. Goes off [14:05] the shelf and the Bears touch up for an [14:07] offsides call. [14:12] mentioned earlier, Liam Malloy uh very [14:14] much uh liked by his [14:18] staff, the his coaches, [14:21] his third goal of the year already. He [14:23] has nine points and he will now move [14:24] into a tie for with Nash Road for the [14:28] lead in points [14:32] on this White Bear Lake squad that is [14:34] generating plenty of offense early. It's [14:36] Max Butters now for the Bears. He'll [14:39] work it back behind for road who [14:40] continues it to Mallaloy and he'll let [14:42] it go to the blue line. St. Martin. [14:43] Check that. That's Zachary Bay sending [14:46] it down low for road. Back out to Bay by [14:49] trying to shake a defender here and [14:53] Raiders can't clear. By just unable to [14:57] keep it in front of him. [15:00] Great effort by B as he is trying to [15:02] fight off a lot of Raiders. Bears will [15:04] just go backwards and then we'll work it [15:06] forwards and a shot taken by Tyler Leon [15:10] goes operator back to the blue line and [15:12] then a whistle is blown. I believe we [15:14] might have our first penalty of the [15:17] hockey game. We'll see. And yes, we will [15:19] as Wyatt Hower heading to the penalty [15:22] box giving this White Bear Lake power [15:24] play which is rocking at 35.7% [15:28] entering this evening an opportunity to [15:30] double their lead. [15:35] the battle here at the blue line and [15:40] >> certainly it didn't seem too intentional [15:42] but that's what happens. You have a [15:43] couple players who are trying to get to [15:45] the same place at the same time and [15:49] how will sit in the box for maximum of [15:52] two minutes. Bears would like to make [15:54] that stay much shorter. Venerus [15:57] beautiful move. Venerus driving in. [16:00] He'll backhand a pass down behind the [16:02] goal. Roseville trying to ice it and [16:04] they're able to clear it down. So Max [16:07] Butters will come back to pick up for [16:09] White Bear Lake. He'll have some [16:11] pressure. He'll gather some speed. Lost [16:14] it and then it's slid back deep. Great [16:15] work by Jamal Lam for Roseville. [16:20] Firing it down low. There's [16:23] Logan Dawan. [16:27] Let it go here for Marks. Nice move by [16:29] Ryan Markour as he works his way. MARK [16:32] COAST TO COAST and it's stopped by Pam's [16:36] dulkey. What a play by Ryan Mark [16:42] the team leader in goals. You can see [16:44] why he is six on the year. Almost got [16:46] seven. Just navigated his way through. [16:50] Tried to go five hole but squeezing [16:51] those pads just in time. [16:54] The Raiders [16:57] keep this a one to nothing game. About a [16:59] minute left, a little over a minute left [17:01] in that power play for White Bear Lake. [17:03] They can continue the pressure here. [17:05] Mark goes forward for Dorov. Back door [17:08] for Ro, but it's skipped off his stick. [17:10] He'll handle it now. Sends it back out [17:12] for Mark to his right. Here's Dorov. [17:15] Back out out high here for Mark. [17:18] Gorov in front. Backhand shot. Mallaloy [17:21] looking for number two, but he's denied [17:23] by the shoulder of Hams Dulkkey. Another [17:25] chance spinning and firing off the side [17:27] of the cage was Mallaloy. Got a little [17:29] bit of the post as well. Half minute to [17:32] go on the power play. Bears doing very, [17:34] very well. All but scoring at this [17:36] point. They'd like to convert here. 30 [17:39] seconds left. Back out high. Mark with a [17:41] shot. Score. [17:43] Hit traffic in front. It's Liam Malloy [17:46] number two of the night. And the Bears [17:51] have a two-score lead. Beautiful power [17:54] play goal. And dare I say, a natural [17:57] hat-tick bid now for Liam Malloy. If he [18:00] can find another one, [18:04] it was a dominant White Bear Lake power [18:06] play. We knew coming in. Obviously, the [18:07] numbers speak for themselves. 35.7. And [18:10] that will climb even further. [18:14] >> Just a simple play from the top. A shot [18:17] redirection out in front. [18:26] >> And what a night already for Liam [18:28] Malloy. [18:31] Bears continue the pressure here, but [18:33] it's stolen away by the Raiders. [18:36] Trowski [18:38] playing it deep. Magnus bends back for [18:40] White Bear Lake. [18:43] He'll find Venerus slowing things down. [18:48] And a pass does not connect and it does [18:51] not go on goal this time. And that will [18:53] result in an icing [18:57] in the midway point of period number [19:00] one. [19:02] And that Brady Keenan, he's got an [19:03] assist on the year for the Raiders. [19:07] Well, certainly want to find another one [19:11] or two here [19:13] as the Raiders looking to answer. They [19:15] have not had a shot on goal recorded [19:17] yet. So, uh, the Bears was seven, [19:21] Raiders with zero, and [19:25] I'll tell you one thing, Lucas Austin, [19:27] we thought we maybe saw one earlier, but [19:29] he did not rule in an official shot. So, [19:31] he's still waiting for that first save [19:33] of his career. And at this point, you [19:36] might might want to see it eventually [19:38] here as the Raiders fire the puck deep. [19:45] White Bear Lake navigating their way [19:47] through. That's Tai Mueller. [19:51] They'll sling it in [19:53] the screw. [19:55] Cuts in. Lost it. Got it back. And then [19:58] it's stolen away by the Bears. Stumpy [20:00] moving in. Stumpy driving. Looking for [20:03] options here. He'll go back out high for [20:05] Bay. By returns it here to Stumpy. [20:08] Stumpy fires a shot. Tipped in front by [20:11] Matawitz and he goes to the corner. [20:14] Pressure continues in front of the White [20:16] Bear Lake student section. The Raiders [20:18] steal it away up the ice. Salic centers [20:22] one and then the shot thwarted [20:24] beautifully by Max Butters in front of [20:27] the goal. Great defensive work by Max [20:30] Butters who that Butters name very [20:32] famous in the White Bear Lake circles. [20:36] Of course, the grandson of Bill Butters, [20:40] the son of Ben Butters, former assistant [20:44] coach here at White Bear Lake. And uh he [20:46] is certainly making a name for himself [20:49] as well with that famous Butter's last [20:52] name. The Raiders will send it down the [20:55] ice. Icing will be waved off. Mark Wart [20:57] there first for the Bears. [21:03] Gives it off the wall for Tanner Olsen. [21:06] Puts on the brakes. [21:08] Sends it across. Hits the wall. Picked [21:10] up by the other 15. It's Brady Eden. [21:15] Out the blue line will get it right [21:16] back. [21:19] Pass the center ice and up the ice. The [21:22] Raiders go. Howard back out high. A [21:24] shot. Save made there. And there it is. [21:26] Lucas Austin. No doubt about that one [21:30] as the Raiders get their first shot and [21:33] goal of the game. A centering pass [21:34] broken up by Roseville. They got numbers [21:37] if they hurry. It's Heights to his [21:39] right. Back to HEIGHTS IN FRONT. [21:41] BACKHAND SHOT. SCORE. [21:45] The Raiders answer [21:49] with a beautiful top shelf backhand [21:51] goal. [21:54] It's Garrett Heights's [21:56] eighth of the season and Roseville cuts [21:59] the lead in half. [22:03] Broken play. They work their way up. [22:05] Some beautiful passing there in the zone [22:08] and [22:10] not much [22:12] Lucas Austin can do. And just moments [22:14] after he gets his first save of the [22:17] game, he sees his first goal against of [22:20] his career. [22:23] But not much you can really do about [22:24] that one for sure. [22:27] That's uh that twoon-one always [22:30] dangerous. [22:32] Great job by the Roseville Raiders. So [22:35] six minutes 17 seconds to go. Period. [22:39] Number one. We have a one-goal game now [22:43] after a couple of Liam Malloy goals. [22:48] Raiders look to continue the pressure. [22:50] It's Wyatt Hower cuts his way through. [22:52] Power moving in. Back door shot. Tie [22:55] game. [22:57] Grant Jacabosski. [23:02] And the leaders for the Raiders are [23:04] leading tonight. [23:06] It's two to two. [23:15] Just just like that. [23:19] It's just seconds apart. We go from [23:23] a two nothing game in which the Bears [23:26] had not given up a shot on goal and now [23:30] it's two to two just like that again. [23:32] Nothing the young net minder Lucas [23:35] Austin Austin can do. Bears look to [23:37] respond. A shot goes wide of the [23:39] Roseville goal. Zack B keeps it in. [23:42] He'll send it down low. goes behind the [23:45] Roseville Gold [23:48] and the puck comes into the stands. [23:50] Almost a great catch by uh the Raider [23:53] Faithful [23:56] and the puck sent back out on the ice [23:58] and we'll have an offensive draw now for [24:01] White Bear Lake. [24:04] But what a sequence for the Raiders. [24:07] >> Again, Bears were in firm control of [24:10] this one and [24:13] Crazy how fast things can change here [24:17] in hockey. A shot off the draw turned [24:20] away. Great job by Ham Dulki denying Tai [24:22] Mueller with the [24:25] quick rooster off of the faceoff. [24:29] Puck down the ice. It will not have [24:32] enough for icing. So by driven into the [24:35] corner boards trying to kick it forward. [24:37] Instead, it's knocked back behind the [24:39] White Bear Lake hole. [24:41] There's trying to clear [24:45] the [24:47] White Bear Lake bench. It's continued [24:49] on. White Bear Lake looking for an [24:51] answer, looking to get that lead that [24:54] they they had for for so much of this [24:57] first period. [24:59] Long pass continued and it does find its [25:03] way to Matawitz who plays it to his [25:05] right. A shot save made there. Stumpy [25:09] with a good look for the Raiders and [25:10] it's cleared back out by Roseville as [25:14] the firewag in hockey continues here at [25:16] TCO Sports Garden. Another chance now [25:18] from Mark. He is driven into the corner [25:20] wall. Puck comes free and A CHANCE IN [25:23] FRONT. SHOT. OH, doesn't go. Caught a [25:26] piece. Logan Dawan trying to finish but [25:29] instead it flutters high and over the [25:32] Roseville net. Dawan back in for White [25:35] Bear Lake driving in on his back end. [25:37] tried to sneak it in the post but is [25:39] again denied. Great job by Taylor Olsen [25:41] keeping the play going as the clearing [25:43] attempt is knocked out of the air and [25:45] sent to the corner. [25:47] Magnus bends for White Bear Lake centers [25:49] one chance shot save made by Hems Stalky [25:55] and then a long clear by the Raiders. [25:57] Would have gone for nice but instead it [25:59] hits the right pad of Austin [26:03] and the Bears forced to retreat. They'll [26:05] try to keep the pressure, the momentum [26:07] going now. They had some great great [26:09] chances. [26:11] Up to 10 shots now in this opening [26:14] frame. [26:17] Intercepted by Mark Gordon. He'll knock [26:19] it back in. Takes a hard hit. Driven the [26:22] boards. Paid that price. Raiders trying [26:25] to clear. It's kept in by the Bears. [26:28] sent fluttering on goal and making a [26:32] shorts stop like catch as Henry Hams [26:34] Delki he'll stop play with 321 to go in [26:38] period number one. [26:42] The Raiders [26:46] putting themselves in a much better [26:48] position than it was uh looking like [26:50] early and uh have done very very well. [26:54] But they look across and see this top [26:56] line of White Bear Lake. [26:59] Uh that is uh certainly keep them busy. [27:02] Malloy road. So dangerous as the puck is [27:06] played toward the blue line. Pushed out [27:07] to center racing after it is Lucas Mor [27:11] for White Bear Lake. [27:13] He'll try to find Leon. Does find Leon [27:15] and he'll work it in. Pass across picked [27:19] up by Veneruso [27:22] >> behind the goal. [27:24] Raiders come free with it [27:28] up the ice. It's Jakabosski [27:33] driving in it and butter is around and [27:35] it's picked up and settled down by [27:37] Veneruso [27:40] off the wall back to Veneruso. Bears [27:43] have numbers. Veneruso moving in. A shot [27:46] save made. rebound bounces around [27:48] dangerously in the slot area, but it's [27:50] cleared out by Westby. [27:53] By picks it up for White Bare Leg [27:57] with it. Brady Keenan gets it here. [28:01] Power the corner. Weak angle shot [28:04] doesn't get to the net. [28:07] Bears pick it up. [28:09] Ash Road to his right. Here's St. Martin [28:13] back drop pass just out of the reach of [28:15] road in support is Butters Max Butters [28:17] moving in fires a shot that hit traffic [28:20] and then it's cleared out and down the [28:22] ice it will go Austin will play it [28:27] for a quick transition is White Bear [28:28] Lake [28:30] by Mueller had his stick broken in that [28:34] whole sequence. [28:36] Connor Fox for the Raiders [28:40] gains the line. SL sends it deep. [28:44] Big collision behind the Bears goal. [28:47] White Bear Lake grabs it here. Time [28:49] ticking away on period number one. [28:53] Four goals [28:55] this opening period and the Raiders [28:57] almost had an opportunity for a fifth, [29:00] but White Bear Lake recovers. [29:07] up the ice. Here's Stumpy. [29:11] Roseville peels it back [29:14] again. White Bear Lake trying to [29:16] navigate their way through the neutral [29:18] zone. [29:19] It's picked up by Mark. [29:22] He'll take a hit by Westby. Puck comes [29:24] free. Rimmed around the wall. Back out [29:26] to center. Under a minute to go here, [29:29] period number one. [29:31] Into the zone comes Dawan. Dawkins sends [29:34] it toward the goal. Goes to the crease [29:35] and then wide of the Roseville net. [29:40] Battle in the corner now. Dawan hard [29:44] hit. Puck goes on goal. Turned away. [29:47] Another chance. Venerus with a shot and [29:50] that is knocked aside as well. [29:55] Raiders [29:58] with some space now, sending it from one [30:00] blue line to the other, but Olsson gets [30:02] in the way of that one. Fires it to the [30:04] far side [30:07] and then Roseville knocks it back in. 14 [30:09] seconds to go. Here come the Raiders. [30:10] Right wing side. It's Heights. They'll [30:12] center one, but it's knocked away by the [30:14] Bears. Goes off the boards, kept in just [30:17] barely and then played to the back door [30:19] to Howard. power. Some nice stick [30:22] handling moves here as the time expires [30:24] on period number one. White Bear Lake [30:28] and Roseville nodded at two goals a [30:31] piece. A great start for White Bear Lake [30:34] and a great job by the Raiders to find [30:38] their opportunities and respond. [30:41] And it sets up what should be a very [30:44] entertaining 34 minutes of regulation to [30:48] come. What an effort by Whitebear Lakes [30:52] Liam Malloy as a even strength goal and [30:55] a power play goal on the night so far. [30:59] He will look to send the hats flying [31:01] with two more periods remaining here [31:04] tonight. The score Reed White Bear Lake [31:07] 2, Roseville 2 after one [31:10] as the Bears and the Raiders will work [31:12] their way to the locker room [31:15] and we will head to a break as well. [31:18] come back with more highlights and get [31:21] you set for period number two after [31:22] this. It's a suburban East Conference [31:25] collision. And we are all square at two [37:14] goals apiece for both the Raiders and [37:16] the Bears. White Bear Lake came out of [37:18] the gates. They were uh certainly the [37:21] better team in the first half of the [37:22] period, but a great work by the Raiders [37:24] after uh giving up those two goals, [37:27] fight their way back, tie the game up, [37:29] and we look at it all again. And it was [37:31] the certainly the Liam Malloy show at [37:35] the beginning of this evening. And what [37:36] a a job there. Won the race. The puck [37:39] came in with a beautiful backhand goal. [37:42] And then uh you know it continued here. [37:44] Ryan Markour with a great opportunity [37:46] looking for the uh coast to coast power [37:49] play goal. Couldn't get it there. But [37:51] later on that power play it was a tip in [37:54] front by Liam Malloy getting his second [37:57] of the game to make it two to nothing. [38:01] Just a beautiful job there out of the [38:03] air tipping it down and making the play [38:06] and it looked it was like it was going [38:08] to be all White Bear Lake unfortunately [38:09] for the Bears. Uh Garrett Heights had [38:12] different ideas. What a job there coming [38:14] down the ice putting that one away in [38:16] the back door. And then speaking of the [38:18] back door also back there is Grant [38:20] Jacabowski as he was able to finish that [38:24] one tie this game up at two. The Bears [38:27] certainly had some chances to get that [38:30] lead back, but a great job by the the [38:33] goalender Henry Hemsulki making the [38:35] plays necessary. You see the shots on [38:38] goal heavily favoring uh Roseville. They [38:40] didn't have their first shot on goal [38:42] until about the 10-minute mark of period [38:45] number one. Uh but they were uh [38:47] certainly quality over quantity for the [38:50] Raiders uh at least in the shots uh [38:52] department. Uh the one power play of the [38:54] game went to White Bear Lake and they [38:56] converted. Special teams uh could [38:58] certainly be a factor the rest of the [39:01] way, but as it reads right now, White [39:03] Bear Lake and Roseville nodded at two [39:06] goals a piece. A great uh conference [39:09] battle here tonight. It will continue to [39:12] be good. Hope you stick around after [39:14] this. The Bears and the Raiders continue [39:16] with period number two next on SEC [39:19] Sports. [39:32] Mom, [39:33] did you really need to buy two can [39:35] openers for our emergency kit? Visit [43:27] finishyoudiploma.org to find free and [43:30] supportive adult education centers near [43:32] you. [43:46] Two to two at the start of period number [43:49] two. Welcome back to TCO Sports Garden [43:51] in Badness Heights, Minnesota, home of [43:53] the White Bear Lake Bears. Also for the [43:55] record, Bonsy Mustangs and of course the [43:58] Gentry Academy Stars. But tonight it is [44:00] all White Bear Lake and Roseville. And [44:03] what a game we have had here so far. Uh [44:06] I'm Zach Halverson. Thank you for tuning [44:08] in and hopefully staying warm wherever [44:11] you are watching us at. It was uh Liam [44:14] Malloy getting the first two goals for [44:16] the Bears. But 32 seconds apart, the [44:19] Raiders respond with two goals of their [44:22] own. One from Garrett Heights and one [44:25] from Jackabosski. And that is where we [44:28] sit here. Plenty of Raiders faithful in [44:30] attendance as well joining White Bear [44:33] Lake on their youth nights. And again, [44:36] uh, this is a a great look again at what [44:39] it was. An incredible goal there from [44:41] Malloy cutting across and then just [44:43] burying the backhander and getting the [44:46] Bears on the board. Mark again, a great [44:49] chance here looking like it was be two [44:52] nothing just like that. But a great save [44:55] by Henry Hams Dulki, but unfortunately [44:58] for Hams Dulki, he couldn't adjust in [45:00] time. on the beautiful redirection from [45:03] Liam Malloy and that made it two to [45:06] nothing White Bear Lake and just able to [45:10] swat it out there. Have a night Liam [45:12] Malloy. But again, the Raiders respond [45:14] here. Just a beautiful oddman rush and [45:17] great execution making it two to one. [45:21] And then Dakabosski again uh I mean if [45:24] it ain't broke don't fix it. 32 seconds [45:27] later, tying this game up at two. As the [45:31] teams getting ready to go for period [45:34] number two, we look at again another [45:36] great look. Another great save by Hams [45:37] Daly. He's had to be big. He has 11 [45:41] saves in on pace for a 33 save night. [45:45] Maybe even more than that depending on [45:47] how the rest of this one uh gets going [45:51] here. But the intermission coming to an [45:54] end. You can see Henry M. Dulkey looking [45:56] for his third win on the year if he can [46:00] figure out a way to keep the Bears off [46:02] the scoreboard and get some help from [46:04] his squad. But uh what a night he has [46:08] had here so far fending off a a high [46:11] powerful White Bear Lake offense. [46:16] The ice looking like it's getting back [46:18] in uh some good good condition here. The [46:22] full disclosure, the Zamboni here, I [46:24] don't I mean, it was the the Daytona 500 [46:27] out there. I I've never never seen a [46:29] Zamboni go that quick before. Some great [46:32] tires on that thing from keeping it from [46:34] sliding into the in wall. Uh but they [46:37] let the uh the ice all the water settle [46:40] in. Bears will make their way out there. [46:42] Led again by Lucas Austin we talked [46:45] about in the pregame. He's just a [46:47] sophomore making his first varsity start [46:50] for White Bear Lake [46:52] and uh you know not much he really could [46:56] do on those goals. It's he was sort of [46:59] hung out to dry on those two ones. So I [47:03] would imagine at this point after his [47:05] two saves here in this uh this opening [47:08] frame would like to get some more belt [47:10] get some more just casual regular [47:13] opportunities instead of these oddman [47:15] rushes that this White Bear Lake Bears [47:18] squad have uh unfortunately given up [47:21] here in uh in this first 17 minutes of [47:24] action. So, the team's uh getting the [47:27] stretches in, getting ready to go, [47:31] and it will be interesting to see how uh [47:33] both sides respond after certainly an [47:37] emotionally charged first period of [47:40] momentum on one side, momentum on the [47:41] other. You're looking at Scott Stefen, [47:43] seventh year with the Roseville Raiders. [47:46] Has uh is very well respected in the [47:49] hockey world. had some uh great training [47:52] camps and certainly knows his hockey. [47:54] The Raiders in some great hands there [47:59] on the bench with uh Scott Stefen and [48:02] again we mentioned earlier the other [48:04] side Chris Anderson taking over after a [48:07] long long uh tenure by head coach Tim [48:11] Sager. Chris Anderson, the assistant [48:13] coach for White Bear Lake for many years [48:15] under Tim Sager and uh eventually took [48:19] over that coveted role as the head coach [48:22] of the White Bear Lake Bears as we are [48:24] underway with period number two. [48:29] Raiders get a good jump off the draw, [48:30] but White Bear Lake turns it right back [48:33] into the zone. Comes Dorov. Looks for [48:36] options here. Skates it behind the goal. [48:38] Back out to the blue line. Larson fires [48:41] one on goal. Knocked away. [48:46] Pressure continues. Thor off to the blue [48:48] line. Mark keeps it in. Fires one [48:50] through the slot. Throws into the [48:53] corner. Didn't get the redirection he [48:56] wanted. Pressure continues at least for [48:59] the moment for White Lake. Nice break [49:00] out by Roseville. [49:03] And the Raiders gather some speed here. [49:05] Into the zone comes Heights. [49:09] Knocked free. Olsen the White Bear Lake [49:12] finds Mark. He's dangerous. [49:16] Tries to set one across. Falls off of a [49:18] glove. Still bouncing around. And [49:21] Roseville handles it. Now it's Garrett [49:23] Heights again with a shot that goes into [49:24] the glove of Lucas Austin on. [49:30] Certainly uh interesting ice conditions. [49:34] We'll call it that. the puck bouncing [49:36] all over the place in this early stages [49:39] here, but Height's able to settle it [49:41] down and able to get a shot toward the [49:44] goal. And again, I think if you're Lucas [49:46] Austin at this point, that's you don't [49:48] mind that. You kind of want uh a little [49:50] bit of that action uh as it falls [49:54] harmlessly on Austin once again. And [49:57] we'll [49:59] do this face off in the same spot, same [50:01] place just a few seconds later. [50:05] You always hear about how goalies uh [50:07] it's sometimes tough when you go long [50:09] stretches without seeing any action and [50:11] then for Austin went the first uh 10 or [50:15] so minutes of his high school uh career [50:19] without seeing much action and all of a [50:21] sudden it's two oddman rushes and [50:25] certainly not the best position there [50:26] but hopefully he can settle in and uh [50:30] looks like he has so and we continue on [50:33] here. Big collision out in front. Nash [50:35] Road taking a hit. Of course, that [50:37] number nine certainly on the radar of [50:40] every Roseville Raider. [50:44] Every road that has come through from [50:48] Leighton Road who is playing with the [50:50] Coachella Valley Firebirds in the AHL. [50:54] Now, Nash here in the high school level [50:57] almost had a good opportunity. Couldn't [51:00] get a shot off there. Handcuffed. The [51:01] puck kind of went up into his gut area. [51:05] Raiders able to clear and then uh we'll [51:07] call that a shot on goal. Redirection. [51:10] Beautiful tip by Nash Road as he makes [51:13] his way to the bench. Big collision in [51:16] the corner. Some more physicality. [51:18] Certainly picking up here. [51:22] Nolan Road for his part. The middle [51:24] brother of the three roads. He's up at [51:27] St. Cloud State University playing a [51:30] very good season for the Huskies. [51:35] And looks like a Raider on the ice now [51:38] took a hit and is getting up slowly [51:43] here. [51:47] That is Nolan Tradowski [51:51] and uh he will make his way slowly to [51:54] the bench. Another [52:02] look at there. Took a hard hit along the [52:04] wall. [52:07] The uh [52:09] body of Chase Matawitz very unforgiving [52:11] there. [52:14] Just 5'8, but uh certainly knows how to [52:17] use it. Well, Raiders [52:21] force it out to center and then the [52:22] Bears return it deep. [52:26] Very similar story the start of the [52:29] second period that we saw in the first [52:31] period. [52:33] White Bear Lake [52:36] at least for the Bears part hoping to [52:38] not uh see the second half of the first [52:40] period again as the Raiders send it out [52:43] to center. Bears steal it away. [52:49] Forward to Stumpy. [52:51] Ridden off the puck by Fox [52:53] taking over as Max Butters [52:56] slides it over to Bay. [52:59] Zachary Bay gains some speed takes a [53:03] slash draws a penalty and the Raiders [53:06] will touch up here and White Bear Lake [53:09] one for one in the power play tonight. [53:12] entered the evening 35.7% [53:15] and they will have another opportunity [53:17] as being called for a slash Luca Viea [53:22] and we will see our second power play [53:24] opportunity of the evening for White [53:26] Bear Lake. [53:32] Mentioned him earlier, Liam Malloy had a [53:35] the power play goal. only had the other [53:38] even strength goal as well for the Bears [53:40] as the faceoff is forced to the blue [53:43] line but kept in by the Bears. Great job [53:45] by Road keeping the play going here [53:48] early in the power play. He'll handle [53:50] it. Slides it to his right for Richie. [53:52] Richie to his right, gets it back from [53:55] Dorov. Now he'll slide it to Ro across [53:57] Dorov [53:59] to Richie. His shot score. [54:03] WHAT A SHOT from Carson Richie. Great [54:05] screen out in front from Tanner Osen. [54:08] Hams dalkey could not have seen on that [54:12] one at all. And the Bears capitalize [54:15] again on the power play. They take the [54:17] lead three-2 [54:23] again. Just simple hockey. We've saw it [54:26] earlier with Mallaloy in the tip. [54:29] And this one, Malloy went for the tip. [54:31] Didn't look like he got it. didn't need [54:33] to get it. Again, that big big frame out [54:38] in front from Tanner Olsen, 6 foot [54:41] three, [54:42] blocking any sort of opportunity for [54:45] Hamdi to see that one. So, they're going [54:49] to give it to Mark. [54:55] And what an opportunity here for the [54:57] Bears again, but it's ridden off a stick [54:59] and it's cleared out to center. [55:04] Bears retreat. Venerus [55:09] tries to claw his way through. Comes [55:12] free to Mor [55:17] through the neutral zone. The Bears [55:19] come. It's Rogue. Centers one. A chance. [55:22] The shot save. Rebound loose and then [55:24] cleared away. Grace for the puck. One by [55:28] the Raiders. They send a long pass. [55:30] Chance for Heights. left wing side. [55:31] He'll fire A SHOT AND ANOTHER QUICK [55:34] ANSWER BY THE RAIDERS. [55:37] Garrett Heights with a beautiful shot. [55:42] Beats Austin over his shoulder and it's [55:44] three to three. [55:57] A far west, we'll call it [56:01] a beautiful sound there. At least a [56:03] beautiful sound for Roseville fans. It's [56:06] uh not a good sound for the White Bear [56:09] Lake Bears. The iron unkind for Lucas [56:12] Austin. [56:13] And just like that, we're tied up. [56:19] So, White Bear Lake, the offensive side [56:22] of things doing well. The [56:26] Raiders, however, responding in kind. [56:28] Another opportunity for the Bears. Great [56:30] save by Pams Dulki. [56:33] So, correction earlier, Ryan Markwart [56:35] with that goal. Beautiful look from the [56:37] top [56:39] of the slot. And then Garrett Heights [56:42] responds. And just like that, it's three [56:44] to three. [56:47] Max Butters for White Bear Lake. Lost [56:50] it. Shot. Beautiful save made by Austin. [56:54] Didn't have much time to react. Miscue [56:57] in front of that White Bear Lake goal, [56:59] but Austin bails out Butters. [57:03] Max Butters [57:06] connects with Bot [57:09] forward to Teddy St. Martin at the red [57:13] line. Got it to Mueller who will fire it [57:15] deep. Bears trying for a quick change. [57:17] Raiders will try to take advantage of [57:20] that there with the long pass. And a [57:22] beautiful move here. Here's Howard. [57:24] Howard sends one in front, but nothing [57:27] but a white beer like Bear. And that [57:28] bear was Stumpy who paid for that with a [57:31] huge open ice hit by P. [57:36] Bears cleared out. Racing after it up [57:39] the right side. A centering pass broken [57:41] up. Bears steal it again. A CHANCE IN [57:44] FRONT. SHOT SAVE. REBOUND. ANOTHER SAVE [57:47] and it's kept out. What a job there by [57:50] Ham Dulki. Another try for White Bear [57:52] Lake, but it's cleared out. And then the [57:54] Raiders will send it down the ice. Icing [57:56] is called, but the Raiders survive. Some [58:01] great a scoring opportunities to keep [58:03] this one tied up at three. [58:09] Big collision in the corner. Keep [58:11] mentioning the physicality there. Then a [58:13] pass in front. Dawkins trying to finish, [58:16] but you see the hands go up in the air [58:20] from the Bears fans here. [58:24] Trying to figure out how that one didn't [58:26] go in. [58:28] 21 shots now for White Bear Lake. 18 of [58:31] those have gone in. [58:35] And just 10 shots now for Roseville, but [58:37] they have the same amount of goals. [58:40] That's where it counts. [58:42] See how White Bear Lake can respond [58:43] here. Great job by Dorov. [58:47] Had the puck, lost it, flipped up in the [58:50] air and down the ice it goes. Chance for [58:52] the Raiders again. A shot. Carries just [58:55] over the White Bear Lake Cole. Swings [58:57] all the way back out to center ice. [58:59] Here's Olsen. Moves it across here. [59:02] Gaining some speed into the zone is [59:03] Tyler Milan. Had it poked off his stick. [59:06] Heights redirects it on goal and Austin [59:10] leaves it for Markwart. [59:13] Tanner Olsen, the captain of this White [59:16] Bear Lake team, sends a pass to his [59:18] left. Markwart trying to slice his way [59:21] through. Played it to the red line. [59:22] Raiders steal it back. Another captain [59:25] on the ice. Here's Nick Westby. Lost it. [59:29] Nash Road. Great back check, [59:32] but the Raiders keep the puck alive. [59:33] Back to blue line here. That's a shot [59:36] and it's a stick save for Austin as he [59:38] directs it into the netting [59:41] and we will stop play. Nine and a half [59:44] to go. Period number two. Three-3 is the [59:48] score and Lucas Austin [59:51] getting some regular action now and has [59:53] made some very, very good saves as of [59:55] late. [59:57] That one just a little earlier where [59:58] there was that turnover in a prime [60:01] scoring area. He's able to get the pads [60:03] down and direct it aside. [60:07] Be there. Send it off the glass and also [60:10] out of play. So, souvenir for somebody [60:13] here. [60:16] Right back at it. [60:27] Shot off the draw turned away. It's nice [60:30] rebound in front and it goes on covered [60:34] up but in the process the Raiders drew a [60:38] penalty. [60:39] That loose puck bears sense scrambling [60:42] and that forced Luke Larson for White [60:45] Bear Lake to take a hooking penalty and [60:47] that will give the Raiders their first [60:50] power play opportunity of the game as [60:53] again just kind of just sat there and [60:56] can't have a puck in that prime [60:59] goalcoring area just [61:01] given to uh the other team. Larson [61:04] having to do something and he did it [61:06] there and now the Raiders will have the [61:09] man advantage. Mentioned 26.1% on the [61:12] power play for Roseville. Bears though [61:14] on the penalty kill 83.3% [61:17] entering tonight. [61:21] Garrett Heights [61:23] forward to Amar who fires one. It's [61:25] blocked to the corner by Austin. [61:28] >> Bears able to clear it out. [61:35] Andrew Disgroup. [61:39] Three assists [61:41] on the young season for him [61:45] as the Raiders work their way in. [61:49] Immediately met by Gavin Beneruso. And [61:53] just like that, [61:55] almost the first half of this power play [61:57] for Roseville gone. [62:00] Not much to show for. [62:03] Try to change that here. Grant [62:06] Jakabowski, he's got one goal in this [62:08] game so far. Would like to make it two [62:10] as he'll drive his way in. Sends a [62:12] backhand pass through the crease. Goes [62:13] to the far corner. It'll be picked up [62:15] and then uh avoiding a tripping call [62:18] somehow as White Bear Lake as we play on [62:21] five on four. The Bears able to clear it [62:23] out. Not for sure. We were going to see [62:26] potentially some five on three, but we [62:28] play on five on four. 44 seconds left in [62:32] the power play and nearly a bad turnover [62:35] there as Malloy had the puck on a stick [62:38] for a moment but it's continued along by [62:41] Roseville as they enter the zone knocked [62:43] free and out to center it goes [62:47] as a whistle blown here offside the call [62:51] on a [62:53] relatively disappointing power play for [62:55] Roseville [62:57] 26 seconds still remains [63:01] been talking about it all game. It's [63:03] been uh quantity over [63:06] really quantity equaling quality here as [63:10] uh the Raiders [63:13] taking advantage of their chances more, [63:15] but the Bears certainly peppering with [63:18] the shots. And that's another one. [63:20] That'll be shot number 22 from the White [63:23] Bear Lake zone. [63:25] And a save made by Ans Dulki here. One [63:28] last rush for the Raiders with the man [63:30] advantage. They'll work their way in. [63:34] Olsson trying to clear. Got some help by [63:37] Richie, but it doesn't go out and a shot [63:38] from the blue line. Hits traffic out in [63:40] front. Bears might have some numbers [63:43] here. Road comes off the bench. Goes to [63:45] his right. Here's Dawan with a shot save [63:47] made. And hanging on is Henry Ham's [63:50] Daly. A little over seven remaining in [63:54] period number two. Bears [63:57] kill off a penalty with relative ease [64:00] and then got a quick opportunity off of [64:02] that rush and [64:04] nice save made there and [64:07] hanging on to it. So crucial especially [64:10] when you have a guy like Nash Road there [64:12] looking for some sort of rebound. [64:17] throw to the right of Liam Malloy, the [64:22] two goal scorer tonight so far as Austin [64:26] backhands it over the glass and [64:29] out of play. So we'll have a face off [64:32] inside the White Bear Lake zone. [64:37] Max Butters [64:39] three assists on the year so far. [64:45] big part of this team's success. [64:50] And again, just we talk about the shots [64:52] 23-6. Now, this is a uh been a lot of [64:56] work for both goalenders on the ice [64:58] tonight. [65:02] Whitebear Lake looking to find some open [65:04] ice. It's sent forward to Road. He'll [65:06] fight his way in. [65:08] Road centers one, but unable to get a [65:11] full stick on that there was knocking. [65:14] Butter is at center ice. This pass goes [65:16] right back to him. Finds Road. Road up [65:20] the left side here for Leon. Tyler [65:22] LeBlan with a shot that goes high and [65:24] wide and dribbles back out to center. By [65:27] tracking it down for White Bear Lake by [65:31] lost his footing. Hy State takes over [65:33] for Roseville. Heights moving in a shot [65:35] and Austin makes the save. [65:39] Turnover at that White Bear Lake blue [65:41] line. Another good opportunity for [65:44] Roseville, but Austin finding a rhythm [65:48] and the young goalender making another [65:49] great save on Garrett Heights who [65:53] pushed one on goal [65:58] trying to take advantage [66:00] of that turnover. [66:03] Heights with two goals for his part. [66:08] Only a minute and three seconds total [66:11] between the two goals here in period [66:13] number two. White Bear Lake starting [66:15] that with Ryan Markwart and the [66:18] affforementioned Garrett Heights [66:21] answering. [66:23] That was [66:25] a little while ago. Team settling back [66:27] in here. [66:32] Very good hockey game. [66:43] Raiders win the faceoff [66:47] at the red line. It's Benuso. [66:57] Roseville. [66:59] Nice moves here from Murphy. [67:01] >> Murphy to his left forski. [67:05] lost it. Be fair. Send it high in the [67:07] air to center. Bounces in. Race for the [67:10] puck is on. Trying to get there. Stumpy [67:12] who goes hard into the corner wall. [67:14] He'll get back up. That's certainly good [67:17] to see. [67:20] Shot from Venerusa goes over the goal. [67:24] Stumpy [67:27] plays it behind. [67:29] Pickpocketed by Trudeowski [67:32] and up to Murphy. continued forward for [67:35] centered one there but Trowski had a [67:37] stick tied up. Great defensive play by [67:40] the Bears after was another opportunity [67:44] on that back door [67:47] and a whistle blown [67:50] offside the call [67:53] and with 448 remaining remain tied at [67:57] three. [68:16] picking the puck up here. Ryan Markwart [68:22] long pass there goes on goal and Ms. [68:27] Dulkey will cover up [68:30] Angus Benz forcing the issue there. [68:36] Dulkey [68:38] looking for his third win [68:41] of the year. [68:47] senior goalender, [68:50] but I'm sure love to [68:54] get a win against White Bear Lake. [69:00] 21 and 1/2 minutes of regulation remain [69:03] before [69:05] that could potentially happen. And off [69:06] the draw shot, it's uh somebody somebody [69:10] out in front broke a stick too as well [69:12] and it's cleared out to center by [69:14] Roseville [69:16] into the zone. The Raiders come stolen [69:19] away by White Bear Lake. Mark some nice [69:22] moves here. Dangerous moves, but it [69:25] worked out for him. Got it forward to [69:26] Doroff. Couple of passes now in front. [69:28] Mark with THE SHOT. SAVE. REBOUND IN [69:31] FRONT. SCORE. [69:34] MAGNUS BENDS ON A BEAUTIFUL play [69:37] quarterbacked by Ryan Markour. The Bears [69:41] back in the lead. It's four to three. [69:52] Absolute chaos in front of that [69:55] Roseville goal. [69:59] It all started Mark took the shot, hit [70:02] the back wall, came out in front and [70:06] helping it out there was Hunter Torov. [70:09] Great play there by the Bears [70:13] and [70:15] Magnus Benz as his second of the season. [70:20] >> So, we'll see if the Bears can fend off [70:23] another Roseville answer. The Raiders [70:25] have been so so good. [70:30] and coming back and not letting the [70:32] Bears hang on to a lead for too long. [70:34] Now a whistle blown off side is the [70:38] call. [70:55] Took about a minute and 3 seconds last [70:57] time for the Raiders to answer, [71:00] but the Bears would love to get that [71:02] two-goal lead that they had back in the [71:03] first period again. Centering attempt [71:06] broken up by Roseville [71:08] up the ice. Mama [71:11] working his way in. Takes a hard hit in [71:13] the corner. Coming away with it is Max [71:15] Butters. Butters off the wall to road [71:19] fights off a check. Puck comes free. [71:21] It's picked up by Murphy and sent toward [71:23] the goal. Directed aside by Austin [71:26] Raiders [71:28] going down low with it. Paddski right to [71:30] center. Knocked away. Liam Malloy [71:33] reversing direction. Finds by with a [71:37] long pass. Road tips it in. Road going [71:41] to battle with Discoar. [71:46] Gdowski [71:48] >> cuts free, sends it off the glass to [71:50] center and Max Butters will get there [71:52] first for White Fair Lake. Both teams [71:54] changing as it connects with Richie [71:56] moving in. Carson Richie with the shot. [71:58] It's knocked away by Hamski. [72:04] Beneruso [72:07] knocks it along for St. Martin. His pass [72:10] intercepted by Roseville. will send it [72:12] back deep. [72:15] Benaruso [72:19] for Richie [72:22] handing it in. Takes a hit [72:25] and Roseville coming back here trying to [72:27] break free but knocked to the ice was [72:30] Howard. [72:34] Heights. [72:37] It's two goals tonight. Trying to get [72:40] this team back in tide. He's done it a [72:42] couple times already. [72:45] Maybe his touch up. They'll send a deep [72:47] physicality picking up certainly here in [72:49] this one. [72:53] Hitting back and forth, back and forth [72:56] here. Bears come away with the puck. [72:58] It's time Mueller lost it as he entered [73:00] the zone [73:02] and then it maybe [73:05] finds its way into the White Bear Lake [73:07] bench. [73:08] They'll stop play. A little over a [73:11] minute and a half remaining. Period [73:12] number two [73:16] in a thrilling hockey game here [73:20] between White Bear Lake and Roseville. [73:34] >> Raiders win the faceoff. [73:38] sent into the White Bear Lake end [73:43] stuny [73:46] cleared it out. Took a hit. Here come [73:49] the Raiders. A shot stickked away by [73:52] Austin. Nice toki [73:56] behind the goal. It's Markwart [73:59] trying to fight for some open ice. Great [74:01] shot by Ryan Markort as he goes off the [74:03] wall for Dawkins that he can't clear. [74:06] Raiders come back for a moment. Nice [74:08] poke check by Markwart doing it all for [74:10] White Fair Lake right now as the Bears [74:12] will work their way into the zone right [74:14] side with Stumpy. He'll take a hit. [74:17] Sends it in front. Raiders steal it [74:19] away. [74:21] Roseville up the ice now. Tail end of a [74:24] long shift. They were looking to change [74:27] and then a big hit put on by Logan [74:30] Dawan. The Bears come away with chance [74:34] in front. Olsson shot missing high [74:38] and the Raiders. [74:41] THREEON HEIGHTS ACROSS BACK TO HEIGHTS [74:45] AND THEY CAN'T get a shot off. Oh my. [74:48] Threeon for Roseville and they can't [74:51] even get a shot on goal. The net [74:54] slightly off the moorings. Austin gets a [74:56] stick back which she lost in the process [74:59] of trying to cut from right to left and [75:01] back to right. [75:04] Bears clear it out. They survive and it [75:07] is four to three. White Bear Lake after [75:11] two periods of play. Somehow someway it [75:15] looked like Roseville [75:18] was going to answer once again but they [75:21] can't capitalize. We'll see it again. [75:24] How in the heck did this happen? Heights [75:28] tried to do a tic-tac-toe [75:31] and just couldn't receive the pass and [75:34] put it on goal. Skipped a stick. [75:37] Perhaps the ice at the end of a long [75:41] second period. Perhaps not in the best [75:43] condition, but regardless, a certainly a [75:47] disappointing way to end the period for [75:50] Roseville, but the Bears will certainly [75:54] take it. They will take that lead to the [75:58] locker room. Four-3 is the score as the [76:04] Raiders and the Bears putting on a show [76:06] tonight here at TCO Sports Garden. [76:11] What a couple of periods we've had here [76:13] so far. We'll take a look at all the [76:15] action we've had and get you set for the [76:18] all the action still to come. White Lake [76:20] 4, Roseville 3 after 2. You're watching [76:23] High School boys hockey on SEC Sports. [76:40] There I was, 16, divorced, remarried [76:44] with the baby, another on the way, and I [76:46] could barely read or write. It was time [76:49] for me to change my life and the lives [76:52] of my family. So, I went back and I got [76:55] my high school diploma. That was the [76:57] catalyst I needed. Now, I have a [77:00] bachelor's, a masters, and I became a [77:02] teacher. [77:06] >> Mom, this is your very first yearbook. [77:09] Your commitment to education motivates [77:11] me, your co-workers, and your students. [77:13] >> You showed me that if you come from [77:14] nothing, you can still be anything. The [81:56] score, White Bear Lake 4, Roseville 3 [81:59] after two periods of play. A ton of [82:02] action, ton of excitement here at the uh [82:05] TCO Sports Garden and really all setting [82:08] up for what should be a very good third [82:10] period. Uh all sorts of storylines to [82:13] follow here. These teams certainly [82:15] giving it their all. The physicality, [82:17] the the the hitting, the the body [82:19] checking and and certainly uh some [82:22] controversy here and there with some of [82:24] those hits, but uh the officials letting [82:26] them play and uh putting out a great uh [82:30] uh game together here as the Raiders [82:33] looking and and the Bears both looking [82:34] for their fourth win of the year. We [82:39] look back at this last 17, the second [82:42] period. A great save there by Lucas [82:45] Austin. White Bear Lake back on the [82:48] power play. Ryan Markort thanks to a [82:51] great help by Tan Olsson. That screen, [82:54] great shot as well hitting that post. [82:56] And then another uh iron help this time [83:00] on the other side of the ice. That was [83:02] the Roseville Raiders. Garrett Heights [83:04] with his second of the game. And he [83:06] answered just a minute and 3 seconds [83:09] later. I mentioned the physicality. Big [83:11] open ice hit there, but and another [83:14] couple of big collisions, but White Bear [83:16] Lake nearly taking advantage of all that [83:20] chaos, but unfortunately for Logan Dock, [83:22] he couldn't convert. Another big hit. [83:24] You see the again back and forth, back [83:27] and forth play. And then we mentioned [83:28] the chaos. Plenty of chaos out there in [83:31] front. Magnus Benz taking advantage of [83:33] all that as Mark Port started the [83:36] sequence but [83:38] finishing that was Magnus Benz getting [83:40] that goal and then the Bears nearly [83:41] capitalized toward the end but you want [83:43] to talk about a beautiful opportunity. [83:45] Garrett Heights has been all over the [83:47] goal. Had a great chance there. Had [83:49] another great chance and a basically a [83:52] threeon. Um by the way mentioned too [83:55] Ryan Markhart great job in the back [83:57] check uh turning that three I know into [83:59] a maybe a three unmanageable as the [84:02] score you read four to three shots on [84:04] goal that was a little different in the [84:06] first period certainly it was 15 to6 [84:08] after one now 26 to 21 after two uh that [84:13] is just indicative of all the [84:15] opportunities you've seen 16 combined [84:18] scoring opportunities we mentioned in [84:20] the first intermission special teams [84:21] could be a factor and And they certainly [84:23] have. Bears two for two on the power [84:26] play. And the Raiders with their lone [84:28] power play in that second period really [84:30] couldn't do much with the man advantage. [84:33] So we'll see uh how that comes into play [84:36] in the third period. Imagine with all [84:37] the physical play. We'll see some more [84:39] penalties and see if Roseville can take [84:42] advantage or if White Bear Lake keep [84:44] this lead and find their way to victory. [84:47] We will take a break and come back with [84:50] the final period of regulation. White [84:52] Bear Lake 4, Roseville 3. It's high [84:54] school boys hockey on SEC Sports. [90:17] Another close fun affair between these [90:20] two teams, White Bear Lake and [90:21] Roseville. The Bears carrying a one-goal [90:24] lead here into period number three. [90:29] The Raiders [90:31] led by Henry Hems Dulkkey keeping his [90:34] squad in it, fending off 22 of the 26 [90:38] Whitebear Lake shots, making some [90:41] beautiful beautiful saves. And you [90:42] mentioned the Bears uh and the Raiders. [90:45] It's it's usually a good one and they [90:47] they usually play really really well [90:49] each other. You look at the last 10 [90:51] meetings between these two teams and [90:52] some playoff action as well in that 4A [90:56] quarterfinal. But uh uh usually close. [90:59] Certainly some uh some lopsided affair [91:01] uh games here and there, but uh it has [91:04] been all White Bear Lake in the last 10 [91:06] and beyond. Though certainly Roseville [91:09] has had their uh their wins over White [91:11] Bear Lake over the years. Couple of [91:12] storied programs uh in Minnesota High [91:15] School hockey and uh they will look to [91:18] continue their stories here in this [91:21] final period of regulation. [91:24] Talk about regulation. We know that [91:28] the uh the Raiders have done a great job [91:30] of answering, but not as of late. Lucas [91:33] Austin in his first start playing very [91:35] very well. Has 18 saves so far, [91:38] including some big stops in later stages [91:40] of period number two to keep this one [91:43] where it is at. And again, Henry Dolli [91:46] just all over the place tonight. Both uh [91:48] both goalies very very busy in their [91:51] goal creases. A lot of offense, a lot of [91:54] hitting, and really just everything you [91:56] want in a hockey game here, setting up [91:58] for what should be a very great third [92:00] period. Thanks for joining us here on [92:02] SEC Sports. I'm Zach Calverson. Great [92:05] crew on hand here in Vanis Heights for a [92:08] Suburban East Conference battle. [92:12] White Bear Lake coming out of the gates [92:13] flying after Roseville. They went to [92:16] that end of that second period with what [92:18] was basically a 3 and 0. But Garrett [92:21] Heights, he had two goals uh here so [92:24] far. Looking for number three, just [92:26] couldn't convert. Liam Malloy with two [92:28] goals for White Bear Lake. He has helped [92:31] his squad immensely in this one. Had the [92:34] first two goals back in the first [92:36] period. The Raiders responded with a [92:38] couple of goals 32 seconds apart. The [92:41] Bears capitalized again and then a [92:43] minute 3 seconds later, Roseville [92:46] Raiders responded before White Bear Lake [92:48] took a lead in the later stages of [92:52] period number two. [92:58] Face off in the White Bear Lake. [93:04] Just three penalties through two periods [93:06] of play. [93:08] Both power plays for Life Bear Lake. [93:10] They were able to capitalize on [93:12] Roseville 0 for one so far. [93:19] Break out for White Bear Lake. It's Nash [93:21] Road. Very dangerous. Lost it as he [93:24] entered the zone. [93:26] And then that fresh ice there hampering [93:30] a little bit there as he was [93:32] trying to carry it forward, but caught [93:34] some uh very wet [93:37] streak of ice. It's [93:40] always uh sort of you never know what [93:42] you're going to get when it comes to the [93:43] ice here at TCO Sports Garden. Has a [93:45] chance for Mallaloy. Goes off his stick, [93:47] hits the side of the cage, and Raiders [93:50] able to pop it up the center by [93:55] lets it go over for Venerus. [94:02] And Aruso [94:05] sends in the nice little pop fly grab [94:08] for [94:10] Henry's Dulki. Stops play. [94:15] 99 seconds into period number three. [94:24] This is a big part of the season here, [94:27] especially for White Bear Lake. got some [94:29] very tough games ahead both out of the [94:32] conference and in the conference. White [94:34] Zetta on the horizon of course Hill [94:37] Murray and you always uh get worried if [94:40] you're a White Bear Lake fan. You see it [94:42] time and time again when the Pioneers [94:45] are a game or two ahead of the schedule. [94:48] You never want the players to be looking [94:50] past any sort of opponents and Viper [94:53] Lake really not afforded the opportunity [94:55] to look past the Raiders because Raiders [94:58] have been just so good in response. Now [95:00] here's Olen tripped up on the play and [95:04] no call [95:06] and obviously White Lake fans not happy [95:09] but I'll tell you it has been we [95:10] mentioned in the intermission the [95:12] officials are are letting uh letting the [95:15] players play. They are not calling much [95:17] of anything at all. And despite the fact [95:21] that Olsson's leg perhaps some would [95:24] argue taken out of under him, we will [95:27] remain five on five. [95:32] But the Raiders certainly had uh some to [95:35] complain about. They we saw at the end [95:37] of the second period the captains [95:39] talking with the officials getting [95:41] perhaps an explanation with some of the [95:43] the non calls a chance for the Bears. [95:45] Malloy just couldn't pull the trigger. [95:48] Road sends it out in front. Olsson had a [95:50] stick slashed out of his hands and now [95:53] he is none too pleased as the puck is [95:55] cleared out by Roseville. [95:59] Turned over back and forth here. Hower [96:02] moving in for the Raiders. Sends a shot [96:04] that hits a stick. gets Markwart. [96:07] Ryan Markwart in a pass off of the stick [96:11] of Dorov goes just wide of the goal. [96:15] Dorov off the cycle from Magnus Bent. [96:21] He's forced into the corner now. [96:30] >> Bears come away with it. Back to the [96:31] blue line. Here is Mor and it's lost to [96:34] Heights. Heights looking for some [96:36] redemption. Heights moving in. Shot. [96:38] Score. [96:41] Couldn't tie it up at the end of the [96:43] second but gets the hat-tick goal at the [96:46] beginning of the third and the Raiders [96:48] have tied it up at four. [96:57] Garrett Heights scoring his 10th goal of [97:00] the season. [97:02] What a season and what a game [97:09] as the [97:11] hats getting thrown back out on the ice. [97:13] Just another uh play where [97:18] Raiders have not been able to forch [97:20] check that well. They have not been able [97:22] to hold the zone too well, but they have [97:26] been so opportunistic. They have been [97:28] able to capitalize on the little ice [97:32] they have been given there forcing those [97:34] turnovers and coming in. And now here [97:36] come the Bears. It's a shot ramps off [97:39] the stick. Road took it. Raiders [97:42] defended it and we'll have a face off in [97:44] the Roseville end. The Bears looking to [97:46] this top line of Milan Malloy Road for [97:52] some much needed offense here. They just [97:54] cannot seem to pull away from Roseville. [97:59] Draw one by White Bear Lake at the blue [98:03] line. A shot finds its way to the goal. [98:04] Big save made there. Henry Ms. Dulki [98:14] and we'll try it again. [98:17] Another draw in that Roseville zone. The [98:20] Raiders getting some fresh bodies. [98:29] Draw one by the Bears. Road back to Line [98:31] once again. Veneruso on goal. Save made. [98:34] Rebound cleared to the corner. [98:37] Does skip the stick of Venerus. Oddman [98:39] rush again. Here come the Raiders [98:40] looking for the lead. Howard with the [98:41] shot. Misses high and wide. And the Nets [98:44] off the moorings. Road on the back [98:47] check. lost his footing and knocked the [98:51] net off and that will bring a face off [98:54] inside the White Bear Lake zone. But [98:56] there is a certainly a defensive [99:00] problem for White Bear Lake. They just [99:02] continue to give up these [99:06] oddman rushes and Roseville just [99:09] capitalizing on [99:12] so many of them. Almost did it again, [99:14] but [99:16] Bears survive and now they work the puck [99:18] up. [99:20] Road [99:22] behind the goal. Swung around. Olsson [99:24] trying to step up and it finds its way I [99:27] believe into the Roseville bench [99:31] as Olen stepping up trying to bend off [99:35] uh Garrett Heights who was looking to [99:37] maybe get goal number four of the [99:40] evening if he can continue to lead this [99:43] team [99:46] in black and gray. [99:52] Long shift now for Leon [99:55] Malloy and Ro [99:57] as the Raiders win the faceoff. They [99:59] cleared up the ice. Bears trying to for [100:01] a quick transition. Turned over here. [100:03] Wyatt Hower fires a shot from the blue [100:05] line and Lucas Austin will hang on to [100:09] it. [100:17] What a start to this third period for [100:19] the Raiders. [100:21] And the Bears trying to [100:25] >> find a way here. I mean, they they've [100:27] had a lot of possession. They've had [100:30] some great time in that Raider zone, but [100:34] is uh so tough when you you put all that [100:37] work in and then [100:39] quick miss Q at a blue at the blue line [100:41] can turn things around ever so quickly. [100:49] Jowski [100:54] there. Send it down the ice. And that [100:57] relatively fresh second period ice will [101:00] let that puck slide all the way down for [101:02] an icing. [101:05] And we'll head back to the [101:08] White Valley again. Last time the [101:10] Raiders scored more four more goals [101:13] against the Bears [101:15] January of 2021. [101:18] So, it's been a while since the Raiders [101:20] have able to generate this amount of [101:21] offense. They will certainly not want to [101:24] waste [101:26] all of this that they have earned [101:29] mostly through Garrett Heights. But [101:31] again, it's been uh just some great play [101:33] at that White LA blue line to earn those [101:36] opportunities. [101:39] Of [101:39] >> course, capitalizing on them. And this [101:42] could very well be a 5-4 game in favor [101:44] of Roseville. [101:48] Raiders off the wall to center [101:53] back in by Discord. [101:57] Back here [101:59] for White Bear Lake [102:01] Ben out there. He has a goal. Mark, he [102:06] has a goal as well as he'll fire a shot. [102:08] Really good shot there by Markour. Gets [102:10] his own rebound. SL tried to slide it [102:12] across. is broken up but then helped [102:15] back deep by Moore as the Raiders flip [102:18] it back out to center. Lucas Moore [102:24] slide it forward off the stick of Gorov [102:27] battle in the corner. Both 27s down [102:30] there and Magnus bends and it's going to [102:33] be the Raiders coming out with it. It's [102:35] to Jakaboski. [102:40] Raiders lost it as they entered the [102:42] zone. That allows Dor off to take over [102:43] for White Bear Lake. Had it poked off [102:46] his stick. Raiders come free. [102:48] Jackabowski spins and fires it deep. [102:51] Benaruso behind the White Bear Lake [102:53] cage. [102:55] Slows things down for White Bear Lake [102:57] before sliding it forward. Turned over [103:00] at the blue line. Fired back in. Racing [103:02] after it is Westby. [103:06] Pick pocketed by B [103:09] and Bears work it out. Zachary Bay [103:14] with some speed enters the Roseville [103:16] zone. Drops it back and then it's rimmed [103:18] around the wall near side. [103:22] Turned over. Chance in front. Goes all [103:24] the way through. Splits the D. Comes all [103:27] the way back from the White Bear Lake. [103:28] Again, tough break for the Bears as they [103:31] will have to retreat all the way back. [103:33] Gavin Veneruso [103:36] leave it back for Bay [103:39] to had it stolen away. Here's a chance. [103:41] Heights with a chance to take the lead, [103:43] but he fended off beautifully by Austin. [103:47] Didn't have a lot of room to work with, [103:48] but forced a turnover and the Bears a [103:51] little too casual there on their own [103:54] end. Now they'll try a chance in front. [103:56] The centering attempt off of a the stick [103:59] of Mallaloy. Couldn't get enough mustard [104:01] on it. Now it flutters in front again [104:04] and it's covered up there. [104:07] Some [104:09] pushing and shoving, [104:11] but it all dies down. Tyler Leon [104:15] rushing to the goal trying to get to [104:18] that open puck. You look at the shots [104:20] right now 29 to 25. This was [104:24] heavily favoring White Bear Lake not too [104:28] long ago, but [104:30] it has uh certainly [104:33] been a wonderful period for the [104:35] Roseville Raiders. [104:39] A shot blocked. Olsson gets it right [104:42] back. [104:46] Mathitz the far wall [104:49] had his stick lifted. Puck comes free. [104:51] gets grabbed by Roseville and they'll [104:53] work their way up. [105:01] Shots were 15-6 in favor of White Bear [105:04] Lake after one is another uh potential [105:09] penalty and the officials will let it [105:10] go. a lot of that tonight. Mentioned the [105:14] shot 15 to6 after one was 19-5 in the [105:18] second period in favor of Roseville as [105:21] they just have not only hung around but [105:23] they've certainly asserted some of their [105:25] own dominance as well. [105:28] Time ticking away. 8:40 to go. Period [105:31] number three. [105:33] White Bear Lake up the ice. It's Logan [105:34] Dawan. He'll center one. Goes off the [105:37] stick of [105:39] Mawitz and into the corner. Dawkins [105:41] again with a chance. He'll fire one [105:43] wide. Dawkins. [105:45] Another great chance. Matawitz with the [105:47] rebound. Singing it backwards. Screwed [105:51] for Roseville. Now a long pass hits a [105:54] Roseville stick. That will negate the [105:56] icing. [105:58] Corner to corner boards. Mark Ward. Let [106:00] it go past him. A shot from the right [106:01] side. Misses. Trickles back to the blue [106:04] line for Disgr. He'll send one to the [106:06] slot area but continued in the corner. [106:10] Back to blue line here. Some good forch [106:11] checkcking by Roseville. Now a shot held [106:14] on to by Lucas Austin. [106:17] Again, the Raiders not only hanging [106:20] around, but they're they're doing a [106:22] really really good job of [106:24] holding the offense here, making some [106:26] great passes and generating some great [106:28] scoring opportunities. So, lot of [106:33] hard work by Roseville paying off. They [106:35] put themselves in a great position for [106:38] what would undoubtedly be a a upset and [106:41] a a great program win if they can pull [106:44] it off. White Bear Lake though [106:47] still plenty of time for them to [106:51] break through here and [106:54] keep uh it's been a pretty good December [106:57] for them going [107:00] again. Just one stumble against [107:01] Centennial. [107:03] have earned a a [107:06] top rank. Here's a turnover. [107:10] Jackabowski to the blue line. A shot [107:12] redirected [107:15] and wide of the goal. [107:18] Liam Malloy. [107:20] Corner to corner pass to Mark. Markour [107:23] lost it. Here's Heights. Heights with a [107:26] shot wide of the goal. [107:29] >> And the defensive zone turnovers piling [107:31] up for White Bear Lake. [107:35] And they Bears [107:38] essentially forced to ice it with 703 to [107:42] go in period number three. [107:45] Lot of action. The most action we have [107:47] seen all game in the White Bear Lake [107:50] zone. [107:59] Roseville just trying to capitalize. [108:04] Bears would like to maybe generate some [108:05] oddman rushes of their own. It looks [108:07] like that's exactly what they're going [108:08] to try to do here. Floating out neutral [108:11] zone was Dorov. He'll look over to his [108:13] right. Magnus Ben works his way into the [108:16] zone. Fires a shot. Save made. Beautiful [108:18] rebound. The shot carried just wide. [108:21] Dorov the great chance. Puck to the [108:24] corner now. [108:28] captain at the blue line and then a hand [108:31] pass will be called as Benuso got the [108:34] glove up to keep it in and uh I was [108:37] unable to touch it up before it found [108:38] its way to the stick of Magnus Benz. [108:41] Another look at the beautiful rebound [108:44] door just couldn't get it on target. [108:49] Hand pass brings the face off back into [108:51] the White Bear Lake end. Six and a half [108:53] to go in the third. [109:01] The Bears did have one tie [109:04] this season against [109:06] the Minnotonka Skippers. That was the [109:08] first game of the year [109:11] as Thoroff cuts his way in, [109:15] spins the outside, cycles it down here [109:18] for Butters. [109:22] right wing side by sends it in front. [109:24] Hits some skates and it's cleared out. [109:26] It'll be iced by Roseville. [109:29] A Magnus Benz [109:32] has a goal in this one. Has that fourth [109:34] goal in this one. And [109:36] unfortunately for the Bears, it's been [109:38] quiet in the offensive side of things [109:40] since his goal at the 1252 mark of [109:44] period number two. [109:47] Another opportunity now for this top [109:49] line. Time ticking away for White Bear [109:52] Lake. [110:09] Little delay on the drop of the puck [110:10] here and [110:14] finally get underway. Here is Mark Ward [110:16] off the draw. His shot blocked out to [110:18] center. Tanner Olsen skating backwards [110:21] with it now. His long pass. Nash road [110:25] trying to shovel it in. Knocked away. [110:27] And then the Bears in the second effort [110:29] able to fire it deep into the Raiders [110:31] zone. [110:33] Roseville looking for a quick breakout [110:35] but successful. Heights lets it go for a [110:37] chasing Westby. Westby [110:41] is ridden off the puck by Mark. [110:44] Markourt's pass to Road as Rose tripped [110:47] up at the blue line and then it's sent [110:48] back deep on goal. Austin [110:51] pushing it aside. Olsen picks up for [110:53] White Bear Lake now. Five and a half to [110:55] go in regulation. Tyler Leon drop pass [110:59] to Road. Road cuts across. Road shot [111:01] save. Rebound is picked up by Connor Fox [111:05] as Wain was driven into the Roseville [111:09] Goender. And now the [111:13] extracurriculars continue away from the [111:15] puck. It settles down and now here come [111:17] back the White Bear Lake Bears. Matawitz [111:19] fires a shot and squeezing the pads [111:22] together just in time was Henry M's [111:25] Dulki. [111:27] But what an opportunity for White B. [111:29] Couple of great chances. We saw road [111:32] that's exactly where he wants to be. [111:34] That is a goalc scoring area. I don't [111:36] know if it would have counted if it went [111:37] in as Alain cut across there and then uh [111:42] paid for it with some more maybe a cross [111:46] check or two, but nonetheless, the Bears [111:48] starting to generate some more chances. [111:52] certainly what head coach Chris Anderson [111:54] would like to see and [111:57] he's talking with the officials now and [112:02] officials talking with each other and [112:06] not sure exactly what this could be [112:08] about. [112:12] Very rare do you see both um referees [112:18] >> conferencing together after [112:22] and the Raiders tried to [112:27] >> for a very very late line change. [112:33] And now they're going to say White Bear [112:35] Lake can't change either. [112:38] And now Scott Stefen talking with the [112:40] officials, getting his time [112:43] with the referee. [112:45] And [112:48] we should get back underway after a [112:51] relatively lengthy delay. [112:55] I would say almost about a timeout's [112:57] worth of time between the uh end of that [113:00] play and the puck drop here. But we are [113:02] back under five to go now. Period number [113:05] three. Logan Dawan [113:08] back in for the Bears racing after it [113:13] turned over. Chance Dawkins shot save as [113:17] it goes to the corner. [113:20] Raiders take over. [113:23] Paddski [113:24] cuts his way in. [113:27] A backhand pass forced down low by Wam. [113:33] Here's trying to clear. It's sent toward [113:35] the goal by Discruit and it's gloved and [113:38] held on by Lucas Austin. [113:41] 4 minutes 22 seconds to go. Period [113:44] number three. [113:51] We showed the [113:53] conference standings earlier. Still [113:55] Water on top at 3 and 0. [113:59] and a lot of people coming to this one [114:03] expecting White Bear Lake to join them [114:05] instead. [114:06] Roseville [114:08] putting up a heck of an effort here. [114:12] Little equipment uh fix here. Wyatt [114:15] Hower getting a new helmet. [114:18] Something wrong with the bubble. He'll [114:19] go from the bubble to the cage. [114:26] And now another helmet change [114:31] for Garrett Heights. I [114:34] don't know what that's about, [114:40] but another lengthy delay in this top [114:44] line for Roseville getting [114:48] time to rest up here. Still unable to [114:50] drop the puck. [114:56] I don't know if I've seen really a [114:59] player ready to take a face off go back [115:03] and get a new helmet once, let alone [115:05] twice. The same sequence, but back [115:09] underway. There's swinging around the [115:11] wall and we'll continue it deep into the [115:13] Roseville end. Magnus Benz [115:18] takes a hit. Puck comes free here for [115:20] Dorof. [115:21] Gorov written off the puck by Zakabowski [115:26] and into the zone come the Raiders. [115:32] Fishing it free is Dorov. [115:35] Check that that was Mark Ward who slides [115:37] along for Dorov. Dorov moves in. A shot [115:39] save made and then trying to find that [115:43] rebound that was not there was Ben. [115:46] Regardless, play stops. Just under four [115:48] to go in period three. you love, [115:51] especially if you're a coach, crashing [115:53] that net, [115:56] but none given there by Henry Hems [115:58] Dulkkey. And we [116:01] see another face off in that Roseville [116:02] zone. Under four remaining [116:06] in the third. [116:15] Roseville up the ice off the faceoff. [116:21] Ma [116:23] >> behind the white bear lake goal Olsson [116:26] backhanding it toward the blue line. [116:27] Knocked free [116:31] with Larson and the Bears offside [116:36] as Larson [116:38] just a step ahead of the puck. And [116:41] that clock ticking away here. [116:49] 327 to go. [117:03] Bears win the face off. Nash Road [117:06] cuts his way through. [117:09] Still with it now. Sends it toward the [117:11] goal and just squeezing that glove along [117:14] the side of the cage was Henry Hams [117:16] Dalkey. [117:17] We will see a face off this time inside [117:20] the Roseville zone. [117:24] Love to watch Road play this game there. [117:26] Tried for a backhand pass out in front, [117:29] but [117:31] still to be able to take that puck, [117:34] drive down low and generate something. [117:37] Certainly yet another special player in [117:41] Nash Road. He'll get the puck off the [117:43] face off and fires a shot that hits a [117:45] shin pad. Mark steps up, fires one. Save [117:48] made. Still loose. There's the whistle [117:55] and away from the play. Grant [117:59] Jacaboski getting up slowly, [118:04] but he will get back to his feet again. [118:09] Road all over the place. Got a quick [118:10] shot off Mark Hord with another chance. [118:13] Let's get looking for some help in front [118:15] by Tyler Leon. But Abraham Stalky trying [118:18] to [118:21] give his team an opportunity to win [118:24] a big hockey game here at TCO Sports [118:26] Guard. [118:32] Bears win the draw. Mark with the shot. [118:34] That doesn't get to the goal. Instead, [118:35] it it's played to the corner. Ro [118:40] the help of Mallaloy. Mallaloy driving [118:42] to the goal. Had it knocked off his [118:44] stick trying to steal it right back as [118:46] Row big hit put on. Puck to the blue [118:49] line. Captain Mark fires a shot. Malloy [118:51] tips it wide. Here's Nash Row. Row [118:53] driving behind the Roseville goal. [118:55] Continues it. [118:57] Lost it. Keenan for Roseville. Clears it [119:01] just out. Mark Horton trying to pin it [119:03] up against the wall here. Two and a half [119:05] to go as the Bears re-enter the [119:06] Roseville zone. Left wing side. It's [119:08] Mallaloy. takes a hit, gets back up, [119:10] plays it over for Leon. Leon out high [119:13] for Olsson. Olsson with A LANE AND A [119:15] SHOT WIDE to the goal. Mark another [119:17] chance that hits Road Skates and goes [119:20] into the half wall where it's cleared [119:22] out by Ra the Raiders who have a chance, [119:24] but it's offside. [119:30] Jacaboski [119:33] collided there with Olen after the play [119:36] was done. Make that mark. [119:39] And uh I think Jackabosski is laboring [119:42] something here. He is you saw him [119:44] earlier. He was in some pain. Got back [119:47] up. Continued play. And again he is uh [119:50] getting up slowly as he makes his way to [119:53] the bench. He is a crucial part of this [119:55] team success. Has a goal tonight. [120:01] Assistant captain and keep an eye on him [120:04] the rest of the way. But he is [120:07] fighting through something. It appears [120:11] a little over two to go in regulation. [120:15] Here come the Bears. Magnus Benz shot [120:18] save made. Rebound up the post and out. [120:21] Oh, what a great chance again for White [120:23] Bear Lake, but they find the iron and [120:25] it's cleared out by Roseville. [120:30] Venerus. [120:31] His pass taken away. [120:34] Bears get it back. Goro [120:39] up the center again [120:44] and played toward the goal. Slid away by [120:47] Austin. [120:50] Up the ice comes Dorov. Hunter Doroff. [120:55] Driven into the wall. [120:58] Centering attempt broken up by the [121:00] Raiders. And they'll clear it down the [121:01] ice. It hits the shelf. It will go down [121:04] for an icing with 1 minute 20 seconds to [121:07] go in period number three. [121:13] Overtime potentially on the horizon and [121:15] it's in part because the Bears had such [121:18] a great chance. Great first save. The [121:20] rebound on the post and [121:25] a minute 20 to go. 40 shots on goal now [121:29] for White Bear Lake. [121:32] as they have picked up the pace [121:34] certainly in the later stages of [121:35] regulation. Off the draw, here's Rogue [121:37] with a shot again. Hits a shin pad, [121:39] bounces back out high for Mark. Mark [121:42] with a chance redirected just wide to [121:43] the goal. Malloy will get there first [121:45] for White Bear Lake out high for Olsen. [121:47] Sends it back down low. Picked up by [121:50] Road. Nash Road and it's going away. [121:54] It's cleared off the center and the [121:55] Bears send it right back deep and it [121:57] ramps off of Palms Donkeyy's stick and [122:00] it goes over the glass and out of play [122:02] and that will bring a faceoff inside the [122:05] Roseville zone. The Bears have been so [122:07] good in the faceoff circle as of late [122:10] and I think everybody in this building [122:12] at this point knows the the plan here. [122:15] Get it back out the road. Let him use [122:18] that amazing shot of his. We'll see how [122:20] it goes on this side of the ice this [122:23] time. But Lon had or Liam Malloy has [122:27] been so good. [122:29] This time the Raiders come away with the [122:30] puck. Instead though he can't connect on [122:33] a pass and he'll go for an icing and [122:34] will [122:36] send it right back into the Roseville [122:37] side. [122:43] There are no uh free points for getting [122:46] to overtime like you see in the National [122:49] Hockey League. So [122:53] certainly no reason to let up or be [122:55] conservative here. It's it's [122:58] all hands on deck [123:02] for both teams. [123:05] Draw force the corner kept in on the [123:07] clear. Morov with a shot took a couple [123:09] of bounces and goes wide of the [123:11] Roseville. Big collision. Tanner Olsson [123:13] with the big hit. But now some [123:15] opportunities here for Roseville up the [123:17] ice right side. It's Howard. Hower had [123:19] it stolen away. And now the Bears will [123:21] play it forward to Row. Hard pass up the [123:23] right side. Here's Leon. Leon with a [123:25] shot that hits off a stick. Goes behind [123:27] the goal. Takes a dangerous hop out in [123:29] front and Hams Dulki will cover up with [123:31] 26 and a half remaining in period number [123:34] three. [123:43] Another big faceoff coming up here [123:46] >> for White Bear Lake. What a game plan it [123:49] has been for Roseville. Generating some [123:51] great chances. Played their way to a 4-4 [123:55] game. The last half minute of this one [123:57] off the draw. Quick shot taken by Leand [124:01] is denied by Hams Dulki. Shot number 41 [124:06] or 42 of the evening. See how fast they [124:09] put it up there, but [124:13] try it again. [124:19] Draw one by the Bears. Olsson with the [124:21] shot. Hits a body. Comes back out. [124:22] Here's her Garrett Heights. He's [124:24] dangerous. Heights moving in. Shot. [124:26] Glove. Save made by Lucas Austin. [124:36] 15.3 to go [124:54] off the draw. Raiders come away WITH IT. [124:57] CHANCE, SHOT, SCORE. [125:04] WYATT HOWER WITH 10.2 2 TO go [125:10] and the Raiders [125:12] take A FIVE TO FOUR LEAD. [125:24] Wyatt Hower [125:29] and a pair of assists and this time was [125:32] his opportunity to shine. [125:38] found a lane, fired the shot, [125:42] and [125:43] just like that, the Raiders [125:48] after losing their last 10 plus to White [125:52] Bear Lake [125:54] have an opportunity [125:57] to win this one [126:00] in an incredible fashion. shots [126:04] 41-32. [126:13] Mention the history. Last time [126:17] the Bears fell to the Raiders, it was [126:21] December 20th of 2012 and now December [126:25] 9th of 2025. [126:28] Barring a [126:31] miracle here in the last 10 seconds as [126:34] the Bears do have have called their [126:35] timeout. [126:37] Talk things over. Try to draw something [126:39] up. [126:41] Looking like you can add December 9th, [126:43] 2025 is a very special night if you are [126:47] a Roseville Raiders fan. [126:50] But here we go. 10 seconds remain. [126:55] Empty net for White Bear Lake. [126:59] Big face off here. [127:02] Draw one for the right side. Raiders [127:05] have it. They'll play it down the ice. 4 [127:08] seconds. Three, two, and one. And what a [127:11] win for the Roseville Raiders. They take [127:13] down White Bear Lake by a score of 5-4. [127:19] Wyatt Howard the hero with 10.2 [127:23] remaining. [127:26] And a chaotic start to this White Bear [127:30] Lake season continues. [127:32] Started with a great win uh tie with [127:35] with Minnetonka. They went on the road. [127:38] Rogers a victory out there. [127:42] A b a stumble against Centennial and [127:44] another stumble on home ice. This time [127:47] against the Roseville Raiders [127:49] as uh the Bears will have certainly [127:54] Some work to do, some stuff to figure [127:56] out moving forward, but again, what a [127:58] what an effort by the Roseville Raiders [128:01] tonight with a huge win and they will [128:04] head home happy. Home stand coming up [128:07] for them. East Ridge Park and Forest [128:09] Lake and they could certainly make a run [128:12] now with this win in that uh Suburban [128:15] East Conference. [128:18] Looking at some of the great action we [128:20] had here, what a game it was. [128:24] And a great goal there by Liam Malloy to [128:26] kick things off back in the first [128:28] period. [128:30] And the Bears continue the the pressure [128:32] there with the power play goal as the [128:34] first seven, eight, nine shots of the [128:36] hockey game. Liam Malloy with the first [128:38] two goals of the hockey game. It'll be [128:40] Garrett Heights [128:42] starting out his incredible night [128:44] getting his first goal and getting the [128:46] Raiders on the board. And then another [128:48] great play there on the back door. [128:51] Grant Jacabowski [128:53] making it two to two. But White Bear [128:55] Lake would respond [128:57] on the a great play there. Ryan Markort [129:01] with the assist to Tanner Olsson in the [129:04] screen. Then we heard the post on that [129:07] last one. We hear the post again on this [129:09] one. What a play there. Garrett Heights, [129:11] his second of the game to tie it up at [129:13] three. Then a battle out in front. It [129:16] was Magnus Benz making it four to three [129:19] before Heights would get the hat-tick [129:21] goal to make it a tie game once again. [129:27] And the Raiders just kept hanging around [129:29] and hanging around here before a great [129:33] play there. Nice little turnover. Great [129:35] save. The Bears certainly threw [129:37] everything that they could on that [129:40] Roseville Raider goal. The the bodies [129:42] were flying. Not a lot of penalties. [129:45] officials let him play and players [129:47] certainly took advantage of that. But it [129:49] was with 10.2 seconds to go. Wyatt [129:52] Howard the hero giving the Raiders a 5 [129:57] to4 victory here at TCO Sports Garden. [130:01] What a win for Roseville [130:03] and they will uh certainly remember this [130:07] one for a while. Look at all the shots [130:10] there. 41-32 in shots. some great [130:13] scoring opportunities for White Bear [130:15] Lake. Uh they just couldn't capitalize [130:17] on enough. Uh just three power plays [130:20] somehow that whole game. Uh Bears were [130:23] uh certainly well good on the power play [130:24] and they will certainly uh be happy to [130:26] see that power play number go up, but uh [130:28] not happy to see that loss number go up [130:31] as they fall to 32 and one. The Raiders [130:34] now up to 42 and 0. The Bears coming up [130:37] uh the next few games here again. They [130:40] will take on Weisetta at the the pick [130:43] Ice Center coming up uh next week. They [130:45] have plenty of time to kind of take a [130:48] breather here before uh they will play a [130:50] week from Thursday at Weisetta and then [130:52] it's Hill Murray at Aldridge Arena, a [130:56] home game, but they are going to play [130:57] that one out at Aldridge and allow [130:59] everybody wants to go to play to see [131:02] that one on Saturday the 20th. So, uh, [131:05] certainly a disappointing night for [131:06] White Bear Lake and a aated night for [131:10] the Roseville Raiders. What a win for [131:12] them. And, uh, we'll see what it can [131:14] what the Bears can do. We mentioned [131:15] earlier 25 practice games everybody [131:18] makes the playoffs. We'll see the Bears [131:20] can learn from this and put together [131:21] here the rest of the way. Thank you so [131:24] much for joining us here on a beautiful [131:26] evening of hockey. Again, the final [131:29] score, Roseville 5, White Bear Lake 4. [131:31] Much thanks to our crew for uh coming [131:34] out here and dealing with all the [131:36] elements, fighting their way through the [131:37] the roads and getting here and putting [131:39] on a a wonderful broadcast for everybody [131:42] here at SEC Sports. I'm Zach Alverson [131:44] saying so long from TCO Sports Garden [131:46] and the final score, Roseville 5, White [131:48] Fair Lake Core. We'll see you again very [131:51] soon.
