And >> Opposed. >> Opposed. >> And the agenda is adopted. >> [laughter] >> Uh all right. And then moving on to the minutes. Um >> Motion. >> A motion to approve the minutes from the last meeting. >> I'll make a motion to approve. >> Seconded. >> All right. All in favor? >> I. >> All right. The approval of the minutes. >> Then now you just move on to the board reports. >> Okay, so now we're moving on to today's agenda. Or what is the next? >> Executive director >> executive director's report. Oh. Okay. >> All right. Uh just an update. Um buckthorn hedges at Pioneer Park are being removed. Um once they're removed, their plan is to plant some trees in their place. Um and then uh Mayor Elliott has a presentation for uh for member Westerburg. >> All right. >> This will be quite fast enough. So, um thank you for allowing me a couple of minutes with your agenda this evening. Um for those who aren't aware, and I know it's been a while, but last December um the acting chair this evening, Emmy Westerberg, was named our volunteer of the year. And unfortunately, the award wasn't quite ready at that time, but it is ready has been ready for several months, and this is the first night that um Emmy and myself and a park board meeting have all happened at the same time. So, um just to kind of let the public know, Emmy's been on our park board since 2023, and um she volunteered to serve on our Pioneer Day Committee starting last year. And she brought some great energy to the committee and some great ideas. They added the 5K run, the kids fun run, the Friday night movie, and they'll have another Friday night movie um coming up this year in less than a month. And um so, also a new website and a lots of places where people can volunteer and help out. And so, her enthusiasm, and I think just a lot of great ideas have have come as a result of her participating on that committee. And um I think but the best thing of all is that Emmy has also volunteered to be part of the um 2026 Pioneer Day event [laughter] and has taken the helm once again this year. So really appreciate that and why don't you come on down and I'll give you your award. >> [laughter] >> So we don't get quite good sound. Do you want to just swap? >> Like yeah, the mic this way. Thank you. >> Now we'll probably echo. Thank you. So anyways, congratulations Emmy and we now have the official award for your volunteer and thank you so much. >> Thank you. >> Okay. >> Appreciate it. Thank you so much. >> Well, thank you for everything you've contributed to our community and it's again, it's been a great addition and I'm sure you'll take any volunteers who'd like to help but also work with the committee throughout the year as well. >> Great. Thank you. >> You're very welcome. >> Thank you. >> [applause] >> Need an applause track. >> [laughter] >> That's amazing. >> Okay. >> Congratulations. >> Thank you. >> Congratulations. >> The plastic sleeve is there too for you if you like. Thanks. Thank you. All right. Anything else for the executive director report? >> Nope, that should be it. >> Okay. Next I this is very timely. So thank you so much with the beautiful kind of segue here. Pioneer Day is quickly approaching. So we are really excited. I'm just kind of in that final phase of just getting everything kind of lined up. We are excited that a lot of the standing traditions are continuing again this year. We will have the parade as well as the festival in the park at Pioneer Park. Bingo, car show, corn, of course, vendors, um, kids activities. Um, in addition, some of the newer traditions, which is the 5K and the kids fun run. Um, that will kick off in the morning before, um, the main event on Saturday. Some other fun additions, we're going to have a DJ that will help kind of make it a really lively run as well as, you know, kind of start the festival off on a good note. And then we have a live band as well during the day. Um, Friday night is the movie in the park, which will be at dusk, and, um, we'll be showing Hoppers this year with free popcorn, and McBart will be there as well. Um, so, of course, we always could use more volunteers. Thank you to those that have already signed up in the community. Really appreciate it. Um, we could still use a few more people to help with the fun run, as well as the actual Pioneer Day event. Anyone that signs up for a shift gets a free t-shirt. They're pretty cute. Um, the 5K t-shirt is adorable. I might be a little biased, but it's a little corn cob running. Um, so I'm pretty big fan of that. So, if you're interested, go to the Pioneer Day website. Um, it's on the flyers. I think it's www.pioneerday.com. Um, and you can sign up to volunteer there. And that's that's all I have for a report. Anybody else? >> I do not have anything to share. >> Nothing to add? >> Okay. >> So, now you can adjourn the meeting. >> Okay, so motion to adjourn the meeting. >> I'll make a motion to adjourn. >> I'll second. >> All in favor? >> I. >> I. >> Tap. Tap. There you go. >> Mhm.
