First item is a pledge of allegiance. I pledge algiance to the flag of the United States of America and to the republic for which it stands, one nation under God, indivisible, with liberty and justice for all. >> All right. Next is going to be approval of the agenda. We're adding uh under consent agenda I a letter to the DNR relating to the no wake zone by Sunnyside and under new business we are moving B and C and we will also be removing uh the closed session at the end of the meeting. >> I move approval of the agenda um with as the amendment with the amendments. >> Second. >> All those in favor? >> Opposed? >> Motion carries. Next is staff and council or council and staff reports. Any council reports? Okay. Uh city administrator. >> Yeah. Mayor, council, good evening. I put before you an email that uh I received here on uh on Monday. The mayor and some of our other staff also received it. Uh this just relates to um the uh state correctional facility, the Stillwater one, which is in uh the city of Bayport as I think most of you know. Uh they are looking at putting together a little decommissioning uh study here and their architect had reached out to us uh wanted to set up a meeting um here and talk about potential goals and the status of the the uh the study and the future of the property. Um and so I know the mayor is going to participate in it. I'll be there. Um just wanted to see uh if there was someone else from the council that wanted to participate in this. Certainly we can handle it, but I just wanted to bring it to council. Um as I know it's a big item for around u this area here and so if there was someone else that wanted to participate certainly uh you're welcome if you wanted to. Uh >> are you participating in that? >> Let me know when the meetings are and if I can make it I would love to. >> Okay, >> great. That's all I had. Mayor, thanks. >> Police chief. Uh, nothing new to report, mayor. >> Okay. And assistant city administrator, >> mayor and council, I have three items to report this evening. First, I'll start with our recycling award winner, William Isacson, who lives at 5812 Nutmeg Court North. He had his recycling out for collection, so he was chosen as the second award winner for the month of February for his recycling efforts. Secondly, staff did apply for and receive a small grant from Washington County from the statewide health um partnership plan through Washington County for exercise equipment here at city hall for staff to use. So that's pretty exciting. >> Cool. >> Um third, the city will be applying for a small grant from AARP to update our trail maps. And so we hope that um >> approves approve a resolution approving the gambling premise application made by Stillwater Area Hockey Association for gambling activities at the links of Stillwater. Accept a police bodywn camera independent audit report. Approve sanitary sewer cleaning contract with pipe services. Approve purchase of a 2026F150 truck for the public works department. approved purchase of a 2026 Ford ex interceptor explorer police vehicle along with upfitting equipment authorized sale of the 2021 Ford interceptor explorer police vehicle and I a letter to the DNR related to the no wake zone on by Sunnyside. >> I will make a motion to approve the consent agenda as presented. >> Second. >> Okay. Roll call. >> Council Johnson. >> Yes. >> Council Ligrin. >> Yes. Council Run. >> Yes. >> Council member Swanson. >> Yes. >> And Mayor Dhy. >> Yes. >> Okay. We have no public hearings today or any old business. So we'll move on to new business. A. Variance for subdivision process and regulations. Variance of lot size in variance lot for lot 15055 upper 63rd Street North. >> Yep. Mayor Council subbing in here for uh city planner Richards uh this evening. Uh before you is an application here from uh Kim Brandt LLC uh for variance uh for lot uh width and lot size uh dimensions. Uh this is for the property at 15055 upper 63rd. Uh so the property and it's within your packet um here is approximately uh 18,290 square feet. Um it's zoned R2. So they're looking at subdividing. There it is. Uh looking at subdividing that property. So splitting in half, creating two lots. One would be 9,000. Well, they'd both be 9,145 square feet um with a lot width of 67 uh 8 um feet. The uh the city code um requires the lot widths uh to be 80 ft and a lot area to be 10,400 uh square feet. So, there is a a deviation of variance from the code that they're seeking for this. Um you can see that we have the exhibit. If you can u kind of make that out uh they're on the screen otherwise it's within your packet. Uh within that area there's very unique um dimensions I'd say of properties of all different um lot widths and areas. Uh you have the property next door that is uh 65 ft in uh in width. You have some properties that are to the south that are even narrower. And so there's quite the variety uh within that area. Uh the planning commission uh did consider this at their last meeting. Uh they did unanimously recommend approval um of allowing a lot split. The second part uh of the request then as well was for um the requirement to not have to go through the final plat uh process and it would just be a simple minor subdivision um process. Uh typically they could just go through the minor subdivision process, but since this lot does not meet code, um it asks for them to go through the whole platting process. The platting process would be a significant uh expense for the applicant. We have no issues with them just going through the minor uh subdivision process. Uh typically that would just be administrative. And so that's the second part of the variance request that they're asking for. And so um the applicant is here tonight. um if you have any questions and more than happy to answer any questions too that the council may have. >> So, the goal will be to put a house on each lot then. >> Yep. Right now, there is a house that they're fixing up on the lot to uh just on the right of the screen um there. And so, they would be building a second lot uh or second home, excuse me, on the other lot. >> Is there going to be enough room for snow removal? So, when you do the the snow taken off of one, is there going to be some place to put it? Yeah, it's there's they're probably less crowded. >> Sorry, if we could just have you come up to the mic. >> Um I would say the homes are probably less crowded than uh the homes to the left. Uh there's obviously one to the right, but to the left they're much closer together. So, yes, it' be easy. And we're uh adding a garage to the existing home, alleviating uh any on street parking. So >> nice. I move approval of the variance request. >> Second. >> Any more discussion? >> Is this roll call or is just another? >> We can do a roll call. >> Council member Johnson. >> Yes. >> Council Ligret. >> Yes. >> Council member Ron. >> Yes. >> Council member Swanson. >> Yes. >> And Mayor Dhy. >> Yes. Okay. And then we >> There we are. Any other council items or announcements? >> I move we adjourn. >> Second. All in favor? >> I >> I opposed. We have adjourned. >> Thanks everybody. >> You should have been at the last. >> This was about three or four times long. So I hired a contractor.
