Our investigations unit wrapped up all their fraud presentations uh recently at Oak Park Senior Living and at the Villas and mainly touching on that cryptocurrency fraud. They did a good job at that hitting. And then um our pink patch project starts already October one. So next week we'll have that here for $10 each. And then we'll have a community outreach event this Saturday at one o'clock. There'll be a couple of us calling bingo at Botwells. Everybody's invited to come to that. >> It's good time. Authorize a letter of support for the middle sanctuary watershed management organization grant request. Approve a resolution accepting donations from Dow to be used at the party in the park. Approve the elimination of the receptionist position and updating organiz the organizational chart. Accept resignation of police sergeant Lindseay Bunstock. Uh, we have no public hearings tonight and we have no old business. So, we have new business, a resolution approving the fiscal year 2025 proposed budget, general fund, Middle St. Croy watershed management organization tax levy. >> Mayor uh council um we always enjoy the budget uh putting that together every year. It's a opportunity for our staff to collaborate um and come up with our spending plan. Uh we did review the uh draft budget with you on August 26 at a work session in pretty great detail. Um I got before you some of the variances in various um departments. So, police, public works, um, administration, uh, generally some of the large changes that you'd see, uh, made up by the Amber Dash board, um, in putting funding towards that. Uh, we also, uh, to have wages, um, that are impacting the bottom line. And, um, the final thing too that I wanted to mention was just the health insurance. I think there's about a 15% increase that we're planning, uh, with health insurance and that has impacted our budget. Um, with that said though, our department directors have done a very good job of keeping uh cost down. Uh, proposed tax levy that is before you this evening is about 6.25% increase. Um, but keep in mind as the council had requested to separate out that middle St. Croy um watershed uh district just so everyone's paying their fair share and people aren't paying double. Um, that final levy number will be slightly different, but I'll just say 6.25 25 of for ease of tonight. From a budget standpoint, uh expenditures and revenues, uh it is a balanced budget of about 8.3 million. Um the other interesting note that I u put within the staff memo was just the unfunded mandate that we have of Minnesota paid leave um which is hitting our budget slightly as well. So um that's really kind of the reader digest version of the budget. uh we'll uh review it on December 9th at our meeting uh where we have our TNT meeting. Uh we can make changes then to reduce uh we just can't increase the levy at that time. And so uh feel strongly of the work that our team has done um on the budget. Appreciate the council's support um of the work that we've done as well. And so uh we'll look for your approval this evening of the preliminary budget that we can send off to uh Washington County. How much are we spending in enamel ash? I'm like I know it's >> Yeah. So this current year we have budgeted uh 250,000 and so the council had approved at one of our last meetings um a bid of about 238 uh um 238,000 uh for work to complete this year. We have budgeted for next year 250,000 for EAB. I don't know based on the bid numbers that we got this last go around. I don't know if we'll need all of that to complete the priority areas um for next next year um which is more of the streets um the street boulevard trees. So I don't know if we'll need all that 250 for next year. >> Okay. >> Just was just trying to remember how much it was. >> Yeah, we're getting close to the end. The good news is we're getting close to the end um here and our city city arborist Danielson has done a phenomenal job in uh managing that uh program. >> I move approval of the resolution. >> Second.
