The Heart of the Community Award is presented to an individual, group or Community Education staff member who demonstrates the District 622 Community Education philosophy of serving the community. This year we had two winners. Rosey Dickey is one of the recipients for the Heart of the Community EXCEL Award. Nominated by Rebecca Walters & Amy Johnson (North High Show Choir Director), Rosey is receiving this award for her unwavering dedication and selfless contributions to the Northern Lights Show Choir. She goes above and beyond to ensure every student feels supported, seen, and cared for—whether it’s sewing costumes, organizing fundraisers, driving students home, or simply offering a listening ear. Rosey’s kindness and leadership have fostered a true sense of family within the program, creating an environment where every student can thrive. Her impact is immeasurable, and the Northern Lights Show Choir would not be the same without her.
