[0:05] Welcome back to the Monday Morning Minute for  December 1. Let's get 60 seconds on the clock   [0:09] and get started. A highlight for the week is  the City's first-ever Tree Lighting with Santa   [0:14] event this Thursday, December 4, from 6 to 8 PM at  City Hall. This free event will feature Santa on   [0:19] a decorated fire truck, a tree lighting ceremony,  a bonfire, holiday music performed by the Tartan   [0:24] High School Choir, s'mores hot chocolate, and  more. Check out the link provided for details.   [0:28] We hope to see you there. Santa's magical red  mailboxes have arrived at City Hall and the   [0:33] Discovery Center. Help your little ones write  a letter to Santa and drop it in one of the   [0:36] red mailboxes by December 15. Be sure to include  the child's full name, age, and address with each   [0:41] letter. Santa just might write a letter back.  Now that it's getting dark earlier, our Police   [0:46] Department offers a reminder for pedestrians  and drivers to use extra caution near sidewalks.   [0:50] Pedestrians should wear bright reflective  clothing, carry a flashlight, and make eye contact   [0:55] with drivers before entering crosswalks. Drivers  should reduce speed, watch for pedestrians,   [0:59] and yield at crosswalks. Both pedestrians and  drivers should remain alert and avoid distractions   [1:04] like phones. We want everybody to be safe. That's  it. I'm out of time. Have a great week, Oakdale.
