Welcome to our Monday Morning Minute for March 9. Let's get 60 seconds on the clock and get started. Spring weight restrictions went into effect last Tuesday, March 3, for the City of Oakdale, Washington County, and MnDOT. Weight restrictions, or load limits, are implemented each year in early spring to minimize the wear to the streets and to allow the base adequate time to stabilize. During this time, we ask that you avoid scheduling deliveries and remodeling projects using heavy machinery or vehicles. The limits are expected to last no longer than eight weeks. See the link provided for additional information. Next, Oakdale Wellness 50 Plus is offering a free session on Cultivating Wellness Through Volunteerism, tomorrow, Tuesday, from 1 to 2 PM at the Discovery Center. No volunteer commitment is required and refreshments will be provided. Visit the link provided for more information. Finally, save the date for the second annual Oakdale Eco Fair on Saturday, April 25th from 9 AM to 1 PM at Castle Elementary. This year, there will also be a clothing swap with donations accepted April 6 to 17 at City Hall and the Discovery Center. These free events are open to the public and offer information on a variety of environmental topics and initiatives. Visit the link for more information. That's all we have. Have a great week, Oakdale.
