[0:06] [Music] Welcome back to the Monday Morning Minute
for November 4. Let's get 60 seconds on the clock
[0:10] and get started. First, some really exciting news
- the newly reconstructed 4th Street bridge over
[0:14] 694 is now open to vehicle, bicycle and pedestrian
traffic. Improvements include new infrastructure,
[0:20] bus-only lanes for the Metro Gold Line BRT,
and a dedicated shared use pathway. Today,
[0:26] Monday, is the final day for early voting
available at Oakdale City Hall for from 8
[0:30] AM to 5 PM. That means tomorrow is Election
Day. On Election Day, voters must go to their
[0:34] assigned precinct location to vote between
7 AM and 8 PM. Find your precinct location
[0:39] at mnvotes.org. A reminder that the City of
Oakdale has two questions on the ballot to
[0:45] extend the current half-percent local sales
tax for 5 additional years from 2048 to 2053.
[0:50] This extension is requested to cover the funding
gaps caused by inflation for two projects -the
[0:55] expansion and remodel of our Police facility and
the construction of a new Public Works campus. See
[1:00] the link provided for more information. Finally
an update from Public Works - weather permitting,
[1:04] city-wide street sweeping is planned to
begin this week. Ways you can help include:
[1:09] giving the sweepers plenty of room to work; keep
trash cans out of the street on collection day;
[1:13] and move parked cars off of the street. We
appreciate your patience so our crews can
[1:17] do this important work. That's it. I'm out
of time. Have a great week, Oakdale. [Music]
