[0:05] [Music] Welcome back to the Monday Morning Minute
for March 10. Let's get 60 seconds on the clock
[0:09] and get started. You may have seen some Crews
working around the water tower on the west side
[0:13] of 694 recently. This work is in preparation
for a reconditioning project this spring and
[0:18] summer. Crews will be upgrading the interior
and repainting the exterior, giving it a more
[0:22] modern appearance. The project is expected
to run until July and will include increased
[0:27] construction traffic and noticeable noise in the
are area. We apologize for any inconvenience,
[0:32] but this work is necessary. For more details,
visit the project web page at the link provided.
[0:38] The Gold Line Bus Rapid Transit opens later this
month, and along with that come some new traffic
[0:42] patterns. To help drivers understand the changes
Metro Transit has some guideway safety reminders:
[0:47] Gold Line BRT guideways are reserved exclusively
for buses to allow bus service to run quickly from
[0:53] one station to the next. This includes most of the
route with the exception of Hudson Boulevard where
[0:57] buses run in mixed traffic with cars. Pedestrians
should always use the sidewalks and new shared
[1:03] trails along the route and use designated
crosswalks to cross the guideway. Drivers,
[1:08] if you see a lane painted red, do not enter.
They are the entrances for the bus guideway.
[1:13] See the link provided for more information,
station locations, schedules, and details on
[1:18] opening day activities. That's it. I'm out
of time. Have a great week, Oakdale! [Music]
