[0:05] Welcome back to the Monday Morning Minute for
September 1. Let's get 60 seconds on the clock
[0:09] and get started. First up, City offices are
closed today, Monday, in observance of Labor
[0:14] Day. City facilities will reopen at 8 AM tomorrow.
In recognition of the start of the school year,
[0:19] we're here at Tartan High School, which recently
completed its addition and renovation project,
[0:23] a huge undertaking. Good luck to our local
students, teachers, and support staff as
[0:27] they head back to school this week. We wish
everyone a very successful school year ahead.
[0:33] With the return to school, a reminder for drivers
to slow down, pay attention, and anticipate school
[0:38] children and buses, especially in school zones
and neighborhoods. We want everybody to remain
[0:42] safe. Finally, the pavement rehabilitation
project on Hadley Avenue from 10th Street to
[0:47] Hallmark is underway with completion expected in
mid-September. For the duration of this project,
[0:52] the traffic signals at the intersection of Hadley
Avenue and 15th Street will remain flashing red,
[0:57] so treat it like a stop sign. While Hadley
Avenue will be open to through traffic,
[1:00] there may be periods of partial lane closures with
flaggers. Please proceed with caution throughout
[1:05] the work zone area and project area. That's it.
I'm out of time. Have a great week, Oakdale.
