[0:05] Welcome back to the Monday Morning Minute for
October 27. Let's get 60 seconds on the clock
[0:09] and get started. This Friday, October 31, kick
off your trick-or-treating fun at Fire Station 2
[0:14] on 15th Street from 4:30 to 7:30 PM. Dress up the
kids, or even the whole family, in costumes and
[0:19] meet with members of the Oakdale Fire and Police
Department who will be giving out free candy and
[0:23] hot dogs. We hope to see you there. Just in time
for Halloween, the Oakdale Police Department has
[0:28] some important safety tips for trick-or-treaters.
Tips include: wear light colored clothing,
[0:32] bright costumes, or add reflective tape to dark
costumes. Walk on sidewalks whenever possible,
[0:38] and carry a flashlight or glow stick to stay
visible. We want everybody to be safe. As
[0:42] Halloween festivities wrap up and November starts,
a reminder, winter street parking restrictions go
[0:47] into effect. Beginning this Saturday, November
1 through April 1, no vehicles may park on city
[0:52] streets between the hours of Midnight and 5 AM,
or anytime snow accumulation equals or exceeds 2
[0:57] inches until the street is clear. Finally, just
a few days are left to nominate an outstanding
[1:03] individual or group for Oakdale's Volunteer
of the Year award. Help recognize a deserving
[1:07] volunteer in our community by submitting a
nomination by Friday, October 31 at the link
[1:12] provided. Have a fun Halloween. Be safe, and
I'm out of time. Have a great week, Oakdale.
