So, if you're not comfortable orinterested in serving in either one of those roles, even if you were nominated,um that that is um certainly your decision to make um and so that wouldvoid that nomination um and move forward from there. I I can uh state that I didhear from um Commissioner Jacalto earlier today and I wanted to just notethat he is not interested in serving in any of um any of the chair or vice chairpositions. Um so would refrain from a nomination in that spot. Staff updates and we have the park improvement plan.>> Yes. So, at at this time, um I'd like to um bring up Nikki Schlle from LHB. Umshe is she's right here. LHB is the firm that uh um the city of Oakdale isengaged with them to help us with the final planning and design of our 2026park improvements. So, um, we had do have a a short presentation here, um,that I will let her take on and and just, uh, for a reminder of thecommission and for the general public that this is this is really meant tojust be an overview of, uh, confirming what parks will be, um, seeing uh, workin 2026 and 27 as part of the 2026 CIP. um and stepping back even on a on abroader scale as part of the parks master plan that um both this commissionand the city council um worked through and ultimately adopted in in 2025. So,um just wanted to uh part of that we wanted to ensure that there was um youknow a lot of engagement as much as is reasonably um valued and so uh uh happyto have Nikki here uh to kind of just give us a brief update on uh on whatthat's going to look like for the 2026 year.>> Okay. Thank you Corey. Um and chair, vice chair, commissioners, thank you somuch for hearing me out tonight. I am Nikki Schlle. I'm a senior landscapearchitect with LHB. LHB is a multid-disciplinary firm and for thosethat maybe have not heard of it, we employ um engineers of all types,architects. We are known for our sustainable design practices and we as ateam, our landscape architecture group, our civil engineers work really closelytogether. We've delivered several park improvement projects in the Twin Citiesmetro area. Um just in the last five, six years alone, we've worked withRoseville, Brooklyn Park, Madness Heights, Shore View, um among manyothers. So, probably the most notable one that you may have gone to is ShoreView Commons. That's that's our work. Um so, we're really just delighted to behere. We're honored to to be working with Corey and the rest of the staff. Umand I'm excited to be with you tonight. Umalso as part of our team um it's we have that'll be working on your projects areBrun Intertech will be performing the geotechnical work. They're a trustedpartner that we've used for many years as a subconsultant for that work andRockwise Strategies is part of our team as well. again a trusted um partner andsubconsultant that provides third-party cost estimates that are informed byconstruct construction that's happening. Um and tonight really is for me tointroduce you to the project framework and give you this opportunity to ask anyclarifying questions that you might have. I'd like you to go to the nextslide, Corey, please. Um, so just as a reminder, what you're going to see foreach of the parks for Golf View, Tower, and Tanners, um, are the existingconditions map next to your approved master plan. And we know that a lot oftime and effort was given to creating uh, that approved master plan. We knowhow much that takes, that effort um, involvement and how much communityengagement also occurred. So, we will always use that as our guide. That isour framework. We honor that plan. Um, and reminder that we're not implementingeverything. So, even though you see the fields there, the parking lot, that'snot part of this first phase. So, we are really focused on for starting at golf,we're really focused on the playground. And that's the area highlighted in pink.There's going to be a concrete plaza sort of in the middle of the twocontainers. We're replacing that equipment, expanding that container, andlooking to adjust the trail accordingly to fit that area in that zone. So,that's really our focus there. And the surfacing would remain as engineeredwood fiber. And go to the next one at tower. Again,it's in another neighborhood park relatively, you know, seems simple onthe surface, but we know that this is such an improvement for thisneighborhood and for this park. So, it will mean a lot to to those residentsthere. Um, we are focused on expanding and renovating that playground equipmentagain, adding the trail to make sure that it's an ADA pathway from the streetup to the playground. Here the master plan shows the playground as one largearea, not two separate containers. So we'll have to consider that um and howwe want to make that work um for all the equipment in the age ranges and that theseating sits sort of off to the side. And then um restoring the area that'syou know used for sledding, slip and slide in the summer. making sure thatthat turf is restored for those events and that we're not interfering with someof those activities as we approach the construction season for this one. Um thesand and the surfacing today would be swapped out that we removed and we'regoing to improve or upgrade to the engineered wood fiber here as well. Think I got everything there. So, movingon to Tanner's Lake. Um this one there's really two levels of improvement I wouldsay right this list right now is your base scope. This is the amount that weare approved for now. If the grant comes through for you for Tanner's Lake thatwe're hoping we'll know about in April, then the scope can be expanded toinclude items along the shoreline, shoreline res restoration, and umthere's a picnic shelter, possibly move in this plan as well. So, but for now,we're focused on the space scope here at you see this list. Um, again, focus onthat new playground, which could be really exciting to have it on kind ofmore on that hillside within the trees and some of those hillsideopportunities. Um, restoring where the old one is currently, adding accessibletrails as needed in that zone and improvements throughout the park. Um,and changing the Glenn the Glen Brook Avenue turnaround right now or culde-sacto the small parking lot. um making sure that we're handling all the storm watermanagement that we need for all these improvements and improving the tennisand pickup courts, adding shaded seating nearby and improving that ball fielddrainage and um making improvements to the boat launch for the ADA parking.Um also wayfinding signage finding and signage at this one is in the basescope. Go to the next slide for community engagement. Um there's along list here andthis is what's included in our scope currently. I'll say that we are thisincludes online surveys uh inperson in-person openhouse for allparks popup events. So we're going where the people are and we like to leverageum those to coincide with events you already have planned near or at thoseparks. and then to create graphics or yardsigns to support staff in um getting the word out on social media as needed andwith mailings as well if desired. Our approach is very flexible though becausewe want to meet you where you are and what's working what you need the most.So within our approved budget, we can kind of shape this as we need to. Andit's kind of a working live document that we're starting to create right nowour engagement plan with city staff. And in that engagement plan, we are tyingthose dates together. We're talking about when we're coming back here, whenwe're going to city council again, when these pop-ups would occur and whatevents they would coincide with. So that is actively being worked on right nowwith city staff. But in general, uh, we are want to propose a more extensiveengagement happening for Tanner's Lake. There's just more happening there andit's a community park and then have a more more tailored kind of specific andsmaller approach to the neighborhood parks at T for Tower and Gfield that areprimarily focused on, you know, the playground equipment options. Moving toour preliminary schedule. Corey, there's a lot of detail on this slideand I don't expect you to to read all of it. Um, but I do want to highlightthat with Tower and Golf View because they're neighborhood parks with thatsmaller scope of work. They're being grouped together in as a separate bidpackage from Tanner Lake Park. And that way we can fast track tower and golfview parks and aim to bid them in early summer so construction can really getgoing in 2026. That also allows us time to wait alittle bit on Tanner Park before we dig into too much detail and spend too muchof your budget on design until we know if we got the grant or not. And thatalso allows us more time for really, you know, better engagement on Tanner aswell. I see a question from a commissioner.>> Um, I don't want to interrupt your presentation, but I am>> I have several questions on Tanner's Lake, so whenever you want to deal withthem. >> Sure. Can I I'm almost done wrapping upthe schedule. >> That's why I was asking.>> Yep. Absolutely. This is the last slide. Um,so was just saying that we would startTanner's in more earnest Tanner's like design a little later, more like April,you know? So, so we like align that with knowing about the grant or not. So,we're not getting ahead of ourselves designing something that might need tobe tweaked when we find out if we have the grant.Um that way it really helps us to reduce thatrisk. And um another way that we do that too and avoid surprises in constructionis to get the geotechnical information and of course our survey crews out thereright away. And they they are out there. So if you see flags kind of popping upin those parks, that's what's going on. They're doing utility locates. Um, anduh, this LHB has our survey crews out and might have them out also into nextweek. Um, and then, uh, Brun has Geotech. If they didn't go out thisweek, they're probably going out next week. So, just be aware that that'swe're rolling. We're we're ready to go. Um, and also embedded into that process,we have those cost estimates throughout the design um, to keep make sure thatwe're on track and staying within your available budget.And with that, I will be happy to take any of your questions. I don't know if these are going to be questions for you or for Corey.Um, I don't think I'm going to go out on alimb and say that I don't think anybody knows the park at Tanner's Lake in thisroom better than I do. I grew up on that park. My parents' yard backed into theparking lot. for the beach.>> Okay. >> Um>> named after your dad. >> Well, the ball field is. Yeah. Umso where are these new trails going to be? Well, I think that, you know, I can Ican certainly take that one and I think that that speaks to um, you know, I'llmaybe back up a second and for the commission members and members of thecommunity that are watching, you know, the plans that, you know, that we werejust laying out there, these these conceptual um, design through the masterplan, those are exactly that. They're conceptual. And I think that um you knowwith some certain requirements with storm storm water and some setbackthings that's that underlines the importance of communityengagement and really shaping what the final will look like. You know obviouslywe have a budget that we we need to stay within but it's it's a it's a you knowthe council um you know appropriated a you know a favorable um project budgetfor this aspect of the of the site. So, I think that we'll be able to do goodthings with there, but we really need to um get that engagement from thecommunity to really refine what that looks like. So, to your point aboutwhere those trails will be, I think it's going to depict on, you know, we have tobe cognizant of it, it really kind of depends on that final layout. Is is thisgoing to be a playground or is this staying a basketball court? Does it endup getting converted to a tennis court? Are we putting the playground up on thehill? what does the final outlook of the of the parking lot look like and stuffin relation to you know what future updates for the beach might be obviouslythrough the grant there's some shoreline stuff that could impact that so um GlennI would or commissioner I would I would ask that you know just um there's somepatience in answering that final question and and that's where we reallywant community engagement with that stuff which is um which is why Nikki hadyou know pointed out on where we're we'refor lack of better terms terms kind of, you know, being patient with the Tannersproject because we understand um the importance that is to the community andand you know the um personal connection and and everything that that people haveto that facility. So spending extra time on that so that we can hear all thoseyou know that feedback will really help outline that and I think that based onwhat that looks like you know building off of what what you see here on thescreen will finalize that. So, this is I know I'm I'm kind of talking in circlesthere, but I'm really trying to state that come to the engagement, give usfeedback on based off of this how we might want to see things, the differentuser groups, you know, coming to do that, whether they're coming to an acommunity engagement, but you know, certainly uh US commission members oranybody from the public, even if they aren't able to attend those, they cancertainly reach out to city staff, they can reach out to any of us commissionmembers or any council member um also to to provide feedback. We really reallywant to get that feedback to kind of define what that'll look like. Sohopefully that kind of helps answer your question without answering it. I know.But >> okay, I'm going to guess then thatcouple of my other questions will have the same answer. And if so, that's fine.the playground on the hill. Is part of it going to be dug out tomake a flat area where things can go? What I recall is that it's a not a bigslope, but it just goes up. >> Yeah. And great question. That'll getfinalized through survey work that's being done shortly. You know, that'llreally kind of, you know, tell us and LHB exactly what the contours look likethrough there. So again, conceptually we would like to do something like that. Iffor some odd reason the lands existing landscape prohibits that we'll have topivot a little bit, but that is happening. Um you I just had received acall from the surveyor late last week on scheduling um you know trying to look atscheduling when that can be done. And so um that'll reallydetermine what can and can't be done there. Andthat's why, you know, this is just meant to be, hey, here's the steps that we'retaking. When we know more, once we've collected that information, then we'llbring back, you know, here's our options.>> Yeah, if I could just add in that's a very, you know, this master plan is veryhigh level concept. It's laying out the pieces that you know you you wanted andthe general proximity of where they were and the ideas behind what you kind ofwanted them or hope them to look like or incorporate some elements of and bytruththing it now we get to truth it and we're going to still use this as aguide. Lots of input went into this. But does that mean that it that trail goesexactly where that is? Absolutely not. It just means we know we need an ADApath to that playground. >> Yep.>> And yeah, we've gone over all that of it's not written in stone. This isexactly what's going to happen. I'm just going to make one more comment that wassaid from a resident living close by at that meeting that we had at Tanner's. Umshe and um a few others had mentioned that that hillwas widely used by residents for sled riding and they they would hope to seethat still be the case. >> I'm just saying>> good feedback. Good feedback and hopefully we'll we'll hear more of thatthrough the through the numerous different engagement opportunities. Butalso when you say like um if people come to us as parks andreccks commissioners with some feedback, how do you wish us to address that? Justbring it up at our meetings or >> Sure. You can you can email me directwith that um or certainly um bring it up at the next meeting. I would encourageif you think it's anything um that you know,use your judgment on what you think and wait. But we're I'm happy to take umtake those emails at any time and and we can give it to the design team just forfeedback and or at least incorporate in during the next uh community engagementactivity. But you don't have to hold it. I just I say that because I want, youknow, people see you out in the community or they recognize you or someof them um you know, maybe they might want to come to you versus, you know,one of us or or a council member. You know, please by all means, you know, useyourselves as a resource for a conduit of flow for information for us.>> I only have three more. >> I'm here to listen. the building is thatgoing to be open for discussion on what's the best use of that building theexisting um in time I think that that will be I knowas staff there's discussion on how we can you know I don't want to sayrevitalize that but utilize that facility more for different programmingsand I think that what depending on how gets developed around that will shapewhat those activities look like, you know, whether that's a rented space thatsomebody can use um for um birthday parties or, you know, uh kids events oranything like that. That's that would be what our goal or at least theconversations at the staff level. And and um I think that I can speak onbehalf of the the council that, you know, they would like to see anincreased use of that facility as well. But the steps before that, we've got to,you know, let's get that uh let's enhance the area to get that attractionum to that facility. But that it's um uh certainly can beevaluated as an underutilized you know resource that we want to we want tofigure out how we can capitalize on it. So it's part of the discussion but whatexactly that endgame looks like is again coming forthcoming.>> Okay. Um, as Andy may know, um, my family has adopted Tanner's LakePark for the Oakdale cleanup thing. I've been trying to do that for years andyears. And uh, so I'll be down there a lotchecking into things and and looking at things. But the last thing that I wantto ask and we don't need to spend a whole lot of time, police presencein the park. Yeah. How is that going to be addressed?Because all myyouth, we could look out the kitchen window orbe in the backyard and see drug deals going on in the parking lot and, youknow, people getting drunk and stuff like that. And I just I just want tomake a point that it's if it's going to be built up nice and everything likewhat we're talking about, it does bring in the criminal element. Ihate to say that, but it's just somethingfor you guys as planning to keep in the back of your mind.>> Yep. Appreciate that feedback. can certainly, you know, I'm not going tospeak for Chief Newton and his team, but um definitely valuable feedback to toreceive and and um you know, we'll make sure that they're aware of thoseconcerns. >> Okay, I'm good. >> Anybody else questions or All right. So, we just uh the uhcity council and city staff has been working with the private developer to umto build a new park. It'll be a new city park. It's it's the first of its kindwhere the the developers actually, you know, building the park. Um this aspectsof this has um come to this commission um in the past uh for feedback on bothplayground and uh you know, overall layout. um that was in uh probably latelate summer, early fall of last year if I remember correctly. But um uh happy toreport that that is um that is moving forward um thanks to the council's uhrecent uh approval of those plans and that stuff. So one thing that um we justwanted to uh kind of get out in front of the front of the commission was what theactual final layout looks like. So, in your packets, there is a um a colorrendering that ultimately shows um where that um what that park looks like. Someuh wetland open space that'll be able for a walking area. This will have allconcrete trails um throughout. There will be um a a pretty sizable uhplayground with equipment that will all have port and place rubber around thatplayground. Again, this commission was a part of um picking that those finalselections on that. Obviously, a parking area. There's a half court basketballcourt. um couple pickle ball courts. There will be a um um uh not a plumbedrestroom, but there will be a a place um to use facilities. And then there willbe a dog park in um in this ultimate uh facility which is on the bottom side ofthat page um with a both large and small dog run area. So, um, as we look forwardto that, um, one thing that, uh, we it seems like sometimes it kind of getsoverlooked until towards the end of the project is what the naming of thesedifferent parks and facilities are going to be. So, um, just wanted to again,we're not looking for any action from from the commission tonight on thatname. But, um, would look for, um, ask for you guys or the commission membersto, um, think about various different names. And and one thing that I wantedto point out is that also attached into your packet, the city does have a anaming policy um that outlines these kind of things. So within that policy,specifically section 10 and 11 refer to different things for naming of parks anduh um different facilities and that. So as you think about that information, Ithink that um I don't know that it'll we'll be looking for anything. I'm I'mfairly confident we're not going to be looking for any specific name ideas foryou maybe at our next meeting, but the upcoming and and us as staff will try toum work with the council to maybe get a little bit more of a parameter of, youknow, kind of where that where that lies or what that looks like. But I I wouldask you um just so we don't drop it on you at a last minute thing. Kind of justtrying to plant the seed for you um as you're out or you're you're meeting withyour different community groups or you come up with different ideas, jot themdown. um you're certainly welcome to send them to me, but I would ask that,you know, we would bring those up at, you know, at an upcoming commissionmeeting once that that'll be an agenda item that we'll actually get on there.So, um just wanted to touch on that. Um get that information to you. So, uh anyhappy to answer any questions on that if there is any?>> Did I see on the that memo that there was colors for theplayground? >> Yeah, the the rendering in the packethas some colors >> in it.just outlines the green space areas and that kind of thing.>> Okay. >> Yeah.>> The the outlined area in that document should be just the um that's the parkitself. There's development and everything like that on in adjacentsides there. But is yours not showing color?>> It does. >> Okay, sounds good. Perfect.>> I was think I was thinking colors of the playground is what I>> Yeah, sure. Uh no, this is just a it's meant to just identify the areas of thedistinction of the park itself. If black and white, it's kind of hard to distdifferentiate between the building and you know that's being built right nowand the roadways areas. So um for the the Willowbrook or the playground itselfwas uh utilizing similar colored concepts but inverting them from what wesee at Willowbrook. So they won't it won't be a match. should have the sametheme, but um again utilize the um expertise of the playground vendor topropose um to us and ultimately that's what um was approved by council. Soit'll be not an exact match um for that. The only thing there's some oranges inthis ones instead of some of those yellows or greens, however you want todo it. And um the only thing that I asked uh that we did change at the endwas some of those were in like the um children's seating areas and stuff likethat. And uh that can be hard to keep clean. um because of the bright colorand to clean on a regular basis. So, we inverted that and we'll continue toclean them, but it it just um aesthetically keeps, you know, thefacility looking a little bit cleaner. So, but ultimately it'll it'll be aconcept of the similar blues with um believe it's it's a shade of like anorange instead of the greenish color. That makes sense.>> Very cool. Thank you. Yeah, we'll define what the actual portin place rubber looks right before they um right before it's done, but it'llit'll be along them. So, those similar lines, good matching there. So, anyother questions on that? So, I'll give some staff updates onbehalf of um uh recreation here that we've got. Um there is there wasobviously a um so far things have gone really well. I'm not going to readthrough all of Julie's updates. You guys can, but just pointing out a few ofthem. Um, as with the warm weather comes an endtowards the indoor market. So, we only have a few of those uh left coming upwith the last one being um in March 21st. So, before long, we will be umgoing out to the uh farmers market and outside. One thing to note um and we'llwe'll talk about this and certainly communicate that with the community, butum because of the impending city hall uh construction project, uh the um thefarmers market will be moved to the uh west lot over by um just west of cityhall over by the bandell and that stuff just to you know make sure that we don'tum have any concerns with construction traffic and stuff like that. There willstill be a portion of the primary city hall lot to the north of the facilitythat will remain open to the public. We just felt it's a good place over thereto ensure safety when everybody's walking around in different places. So,there will be a change in in some of those regular activities that Wreckmight have held um out in our front lot that will be moved to the west. Butagain, we'll make sure that's that's um communicated to the community,especially as that gets closer and it does go out in, you know, in our printeddocuments that should show the reflection of the the differentlocation. But definitely something good to good to point out. ice ranks. It'sbeen a really good year for ice rinks up until last week. Um uh had a report fromthe team today. Full transparency. I didn't get a chance to fully read it,but um it's going to be tough. I know it's going to get it's going to cooldown again here after next week, but we might be at the end of the rink season.um they took a really hard um beating over the last week and um areas thatthere's concrete or black top that's showing and um with us not having thereal cold nights at the end, it's hard to make that ice and it it reallythere's some areas that have some ice, but it becomes a safety concern ifsomebody can't see it, you know, hit the concrete or their their skates cutthrough. So, uh more information will come out on that. They are closed as ofright now, but we will uh um we'll see what mother nature allows us to do. Butit's been a really good season. we were, you know, we were we were going in earlyDecember with ice rinks and we've gone non-stop. So, we surpassed um by farwhat the amount of times that we had staff in the warming houses and stufflike that and you know last year. So, it was a good season, but I think we're alluh in a way we like hockey here, right? But uh it is nice for the warmer weatherto come back too. Um other things uh the indoor garage that's upcoming indoorgarage sale um is is coming up. That's a pretty big event Saturday, April 11th.um uh usually see uh quite a few hund four to five four to 600 shoppers thatkind of thing. So encourage people to uh be aware of that. And coming up anotherthing that's restarting um is the community walk uh that is um based onrecording different amounts and rewards for um the amounts that people walk indifferent um different um areas of the community. And then also last, there'sjust uh for those interested in uh uh participating or being a part of ourrecreation programming and and stuff like that, we do have some um openpositions that are open open recruitments right now on our website,not only for recreation, but there is some for um in our parks division forsome seasonal assistance and stuff like that. So um that's that's really thebiggest on the um just an overview on the recreation side of things. Um, inthe park side, I I'd like to start out with uh I I need to offer a correctionto the uh previous meeting. Um, there was a question about uh recycling in theparks and I misspoke and I need to correct that. Um, I was under theunderstanding that all of our stuff did go to a single sort facility and I wasnot that was inaccurate. Um, I I talked to our disposal provider directly. Onlya portion of that stuff gets separated out. Um, so I do have a meeting with umHannah Dunn, one of our environmental specialists who uh it's coming up inMarch to talk about expanding that um throughout the rest of our park. So itwon't be immediate, but we will be continuing to expand it. So I want tomake sure that it's known that um I did miss misspeak on that, but it's we'renot where we where we could be, but we're we're making strides to get there,and we'll definitely continue to do that here in in the upcoming uh calendaryear. Other things with parks obviously uh you know parks maintenance ice rinkshave been the primary for operations. Um coming up we were we finally wrapped upthe uh lighting project here down at the Walton Fields. They had a um justbecause of the soil conditions. Although that lighting project went up last yearum they have some really neat technology that defines the aiming of those lights.So they come to us all aimed in theory and then after they're up they go aroundwith a light meter at night and they turn them on and see. and they had somelow light areas, but just because of the soil conditions down there, it takes apretty big truck to get all the way up to those things where they buck it up.So, happy to report that that project finally got done. Um, but other thingsrelated to um you know, we've been changing the level of service that we'vebeen providing on our our uh open trails, our our community trails andthat stuff. And hopefully um community members would notice that um an elevatedlevel of service at at every snowfall. But otherwise, they've beenpredominantly uh working with our other um street maintenance teams and ourforestry division doing a lot of tree removals and stuff like that. And umboth in various different parks um east side, we took a a bunch of ash treesdown um like right around the parking lot and throughout the park. Again,those were ash trees that need to come down and eventually stump stump grindingwill commence and um we'll see some replant in those areas, but it's a goodtime of year to do that kind of stuff. So, uh the weather keeps up like this.Uh they're uh you know, we'll be rolling into a park setup here in the next, youknow, potentially we could be looking at it in four to six weeks where we'rewe're getting, you know, thinking about getting that stuff uh back out and openon things. So, um again, parks maintenance, it's uh it's um this timeof year is a good time to just capture those those things that you can'tnormally do during the summertime because you're overwhelmed with otherstuff. But again, like I mentioned, for them, there is some open positions uhfor individuals uh interested in participating in our seasonal positionfor our parks and recck team that goes all summer long. So, um whether they'reuh um college students or or anything like that, the information is on ourwebsite. So, encourage you to to go to that and ask for it. So, um the onlyother last thing that I have on a on a from a staff level is just um wanted toensure that the uh commission in your packet is the uh draft work plan for the2026 parks and recck commission and uh we've talked about this before uhlooking for any feedback or any concerns or if you know if the group is I don'tneed a formal vote on it but if uh you guys are acceptance of that work plan umas presented we'll then uh present that to the council for adoption movingforward. feedback on it.>> I think it looks good. >> Okay.>> Yep. >> No post. Uh, a couplethings, just updates from the city. One, I will say, we referenced a grant a fewtimes for the public. I believe it's a DNR grant, right? And it's uh to thetune of north of $700,000. It is it is absolutely massive to helpwith short shoreline restoration. Other things it would also offset some of thework that we'd already uh been looking at for the park. So hopefully that goeswell. But uh beyond that uh construction seems to be the majority of the updatesI give these days. Right. Chipotle is so close. It's going to open up any day itfeels like. I'm sure in the next month it will. Uh which is good. And thenpublic works. uh been a few delays with weather, but the end of March, earlyApril, there's going to be uh a grand opening. Staff are going to start tomove in. In fact, uh Cory knows I think they've been moving furniture in andgetting a lot of those details ready. But with any construction project ofthat size, there's a lot of final walkthroughs, punch lists, things thatneed to be buttoned up. And then of course, uh we're aiming for June for thenew police and city hall remodel. And that'll be a really big endeavor. it'llbe 18 months uh where this will be largely shut down, which is why it's soimportant that public works opens because we need the space. We need everysquare inch we can get. Um but I'm really excited about the parksengagement that's going to be coming up this year and the investments are goingto be made in these parks. So, I appreciate all your work on helpingsolicit that feedback and giving us your own. Beyond that, happy to stand for anyquestions. >> I have a question. uh when this buildingshuts down like you say I guess in June um will we be meeting at the discoverycenter? >> Good qu I know the council is going tobe meeting at the discovery center and I would imagine that yeah the commissionswould be meeting there as well. >> So starting in June is the workingassumption. >> Yep.think that'll we'll when we finalize those dates, we'll be sure to share thatout with the commissions and the public so they're aware of what that there's alot of logistics that are are still kind of waiting to you know really fall intoplace as council member Morham mentioned that the end is there's a lot there. So,you know, once we know what the the timeline of public works to wrap up, weget through that ribbon cutting and then how long it's going to take um to moveand and we're currently having um you know discussions with different umin different areas of staff to because you know to get this facility built upthere and you know get everything lined up. So once all that it's going to besometime there around there. I would I wouldn't put a defined date likestarting in June, no matter what. That's when this is going to happen. Butthere'll be there'll definitely be uh um communication out to the public on whenthat'll be in that range. >> Yes. I'm also going to reiterate whatAndy just said too with the the new improvements to the parks coming becauseI think it is really exciting and you know for the past what year and a halfyou know it's one thing to just see things on paper and um to like noweventually soon visually see the changes actually happening in the parks is goingto be a lot of fun. >> Yeah.
