[0:05] Welcome back to the Monday Morning Minute for
October 6. Let's get 60 seconds on the clock and
[0:09] get started. This week is National Fire Prevention
Week and this year's theme is "Charge into Fire
[0:14] Safety: Lithium-Ion Batteries in Your Home." Tips
include buying only products listed that use these
[0:19] batteries, charging devices safely, and recycling
batteries responsibly. Check out the link provided
[0:24] for more safety tips and resources. It's hard to
believe, but our final Oakdale Farmers Market of
[0:29] the season is this Wednesday, October 8, from
2 to 6 PM in the City Hall parking lot. Stop by
[0:34] to stock up on all your fall favorites. We need a
few more volunteers for the Scott Carver Buckthorn
[0:39] Removal Event Saturday, October 11, from 9 AM to
Noon at Walton Park. This annual event helps with
[0:45] the removal of buckthorn and invasive species
to our suburban forest. Lunch will be served
[0:50] at 11 AM. All ages are welcome to volunteer.
Those under age 12 do need adult supervision.
[0:55] Check out the link provided for more info and to
sign up by noon on this Thursday. Finally, we'd
[1:00] like your help in naming two new city parks in
the Willowbrooke neighborhood. Finalist names have
[1:04] been selected for each park. To learn more and to
vote for your favorite park name by this Friday,
[1:09] check out the link provided. That's it. I'm out
of time. Have a great week, Oakdale. [Music]
