Oakdale seeks input on park improvements, revives cleanup event
The Oakdale City Council is asking residents to weigh in on proposed improvements to every city park before Friday, August 30th, while also announcing the return of a community cleanup day for the first time in 15 years.
The city is moving forward with a comprehensive Park System Plan Update that outlines potential improvements across Oakdale's parks. Residents have until Friday, August 30th to review draft concept plans and submit feedback to the city. The plan affects all parks throughout Oakdale and represents a significant opportunity for community input on how public green spaces should develop.
In a separate initiative, Oakdale is bringing back its City-Wide Clean Up Event on Saturday, September 21st. The event marks the first time the city has held this cleanup day in nearly 15 years. Residents interested in participating can find details about which items are accepted and associated fees on the city website.
Those wanting to provide feedback on the park improvements should visit the city website or contact City Hall before the Friday deadline. For the cleanup event, residents should check the city website for the complete list of accepted materials and fee information before September 21st.
