Oakdale Seeks Volunteers for Memorial Planting Event
Oakdale officials are seeking additional volunteers for the annual Jane Klein Memorial Spring Planting Event scheduled for Saturday, May 17, from 9 a.m. to noon at Bethke Park.
Mayor Zabel announced the volunteer opportunity during his Monday Morning Minute communication, noting that organizers need a few more participants for the community event. Interested residents can sign up through a link provided by the city.
The mayor also announced that the Summer 2025 Oakdale Update newsletter should arrive in residents' mailboxes later this week. The publication includes city news, seasonal reminders, recreation programming and the schedule of events for Summerfest.
The Oakdale Police Department issued seasonal safety reminders as warmer weather increases outdoor activity and the risk of vehicle break-ins. Officials recommend locking all doors and windows when leaving vehicles, removing valuables, parking in well-lit areas with video surveillance when possible, and activating alarm systems.
