[0:17] says we're good [0:18] now Christine you do the right [0:30] is going to feed it to you [0:31] does she's not here yeah she's not here [0:35] she's not here no oh so I'm glad you are [0:38] because for a while it look like nobody [0:39] wanted to [0:42] my that's kid that's our whale hising [0:52] people no worries she says we're good to [0:55] go though oh so I can start yeah [1:03] good evening thank you for joining us uh [1:05] for this special session uh January 14 [1:09] 2025 here for the [1:12] isd622 um do do we have to do the pledge [1:15] okay uh first thing up is to uh the [1:22] pledge I aliance to the flag of the [1:26] United States of America and to the [1:28] Republic for stands one nation under God [1:33] indivisible with liberty and justice for [1:39] all all right um sorry I don't have my [1:43] notes so I have to call to [1:45] order do I have to [1:47] move okay sorry without my notes I'm I'm [1:51] at a loss here uh so we have the oath of [1:55] office which Caleb will be doing [2:00] all right um and at this time if I could [2:04] have our our new um board member [2:08] rise and our reelected board member as [2:11] well board members sorry okay thank [2:15] you it is an honor that you were elected [2:18] to guide the education of our [2:19] community's children as you recite the [2:22] oath of office you assume a tremendous [2:24] responsibility as a director of our [2:26] school district with the duties [2:27] empowered by the Minnesota Legislature [2:30] this power puts you and the other [2:32] members of our school board in the [2:33] position of being both morally and [2:35] legally responsible for Equitable [2:38] quality education of every student in [2:40] The District in carrying out this [2:42] responsibility you'll be asked to [2:44] fulfill the roles of vision structure [2:47] accountability and advocacy in providing [2:50] Vision the board with extensive [2:52] participation of the community envisions [2:54] the community's educational future and [2:56] then formulates the goals defines the [2:58] outcomes and sets the course for the [3:00] public schools to achieve the vision the [3:02] board establishes a structure and [3:04] creates an environment designed to [3:05] ensure all students the opportunity to [3:08] attain their maximal maximum potential [3:10] through a sound organizational framework [3:13] because as a board we must be [3:14] accountable to the community we must [3:16] ensure a continuous assessment of [3:18] student achievement and all conditions [3:20] affecting the education of our children [3:23] as board members we serve as education's [3:26] key Advocates on behalf of students and [3:28] our community schools to advance the [3:30] vision for our schools furthermore we [3:33] must strive to work together and with [3:35] the in with the superintendent and staff [3:38] to lead the district forward toward [3:40] fulfilling the vision we have created [3:42] fostering Excellence for every …
