"Good evening and welcome to the city of Woodbury city council meeting for today, April 2nd, 2025. It is 7:30 p.m. We are here in council chambers. We have a full house tonight because we got a swearing in going on and anytime we do that, we'd love to see all the extra people to come. So, uh that'll be a fun celebration momentarily. Um, but just as a standard, this meeting is always here uh done live in person. We also do offer it virtually. So, if any of you have enjoyed this evening and you'd like to watch us next time online from home, you can do that. Just find the agenda online, click into the green button, and you can join our meeting virtually. Um, we always take public comments before, during, after the meeting. So, feel free always to to raise questions with us. Um, and if there's somebody listening online, if you do have a question, there's a spot there to raise and we will be monitoring that throughout the meeting. Um, and is as is our standard, would you please join me in the pledge of allegiance? I pledge allegiance to the flag of the United States of America and to the republic for which it stands, one nation under God, indivisible, with liberty and justice for all. Our um assistant city administrator, city, city clerk Ashley is here. Ashley, would you please do the roll call? Council member Morris here. Council member Santini here. Council member Stafford here. Council member Wilson here. Mayor Bert here. We are all here tonight so we're able to conduct tonight's business. And our very first order of business is the swearing in of new police officers, Trevor Johnson and Anthony Piper. And I'd like to introd public safety director Jason Posel to share a few words. He's excited. Wait to come to Woodbury forever. Thank you, Mayor Bird. City Council members. This is an exciting night for our department, an exciting night for the community. We're going to be swearing in two police officers along with conducting badge pinning. Our mission at Woodbury Public Safety is to serve all people with compassion and courage. What makes that possible is hiring people who share in our values of integrity, trust, respect, and excellence. People have people have a servant's heart, who understand that the profession exists to serve others. That we often encounter people on their worst day and work to make them better. Policing is a noble profession and we're proud to be introducing these off new officers to the community. So tonight, we're going to be swearing in police officers Trevor Johnson and Anthony Piper. I'm going to turn it over to assistant director Matt Glad for a couple of words. Good evening, Mayor Burke.
